BCS Projections: Why Oklahoma State vs. Houston Would Be Best Bowl of the Season

I know that Oklahoma State fans are shattered that the Cowboys won't be playing the National Championship Game, but the rest of the college football fans in the world could benefit. Now a possibility exists for the ultimate offensive clash. The Cowboys offense against the Houston Cougars would make for a positively entertaining game.

It could be a game that featured more touchdowns than first downs! Imagine it! Houston and Oklahoma State are the two highest scoring teams in FBS. Houston scores 53.1 points a game. Oklahoma scores 49.8 points per game. Don't wanna see another 12 point game? How about watching a 102 point game?

Who cares if it's not for all the marbles. That won't take any of the fun out of this game. Houston averages 618.3 yards a game, Oklahoma 562.6 yards. They could have more total yards in the first quarter than LSU and 'Bama would get in the whole game. 

The most combined points ever scored in a BCS Bowl game is 85 points, accomplished twice. These teams could eclipse that mark with 10 minutes left in the game. 

Oh yeah, these teams could make for some serious fun. Heck, we could even see a game where there just aren't even any of them boring old stops. 

Defense! We don't need no stinkin' defense!

Let 'em go out there and roll up the scores! Defense is for champions! This game is for pure, unadulterated entertainment! Yes, sir!

That doesn't even scratch the surface. What happens if this game goes into overtime? We won't see any silly sacks or missed field goals. We'll just see touchdown swapping from these two teams. Give them ball on the 25, you might as well give them the ball on the two!

They could trade TDs until the Championship Game ends! 

I don't know what the bowl game would be, or where they would be ranked. I do know that people would watch it and it would be lot of fun. For whatever it's worth Cowboy fans, it would be a heck of a consolation prize for the rest of us.
