WWE Survivor Series 2011 Predictions: Lumberjill Match Will Lead to Eve Victory

Eve Torres will attempt to win the WWE Divas Championship for the second straight pay-per-view after failing in her quest last month at Vengeance. It was announced during the week that her match against Beth Phoenix will be a lumberjill match, which should signal a title change.

When Phoenix ascended to the top of the Divas division, hopes were high. The WWE Universe was hoping for improved storylines and maybe even an extended title run for Phoenix until Kharma returned from her pregnancy.

Instead, it's been more of the same sub par booking for the Divas.

Phoenix only has one ally–Natalya. The pair has alienated the rest of the Divas, calling them barbie dolls among other PG-rated things. Whereas Eve has Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox firmly on her side.

That means there are really one two possible outcomes for tonight's match at Madison Square Garden.

Phoenix and Natalya could gain more allies, possibly the Bella twins, to help their goal of overhauling the Divas division. This would allow for some diversity in booking moving forward instead of the same four wrestlers on every show.

While this outcome has a lot of potential, it would take the WWE showing they actually care about improving that aspect of the product. Vince McMahon hasn't shown that willingness in quite some time.

That means the more likely scenario is Eve winning because the other Divas teamed up against Phoenix and Natalya, who will be a part of the fray outside of the ring.

This would allow the division to have a new face for a couple months while the WWE eagerly awaits the return of Kharma.

It seems like her absence ruined all of the creative team's plans, so instead of developing new, intriguing angles, they are just keeping the seat warm until she returns at some point in 2012.

Eve is a worthy champion and will allow the current feud to continue, but in reality her title reign will just represent more of the same. And that's what fans have been rooting against for a long time.
