Nicholas GossNov 20, 2011

The Atlanta Falcons are one of several late-game teams who are locks to cover the spread in Week 11 of the NFL season.

The Falcons offense will impress, even if Julio Jones cannot play due to an injury.

Let's look at three teams who play late in the afternoon or night on Sunday that will definitely cover the spread.

All spreads according to Bodog.eu

1. San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals (49ers -10)

The San Francisco 49ers are 8-1 and leading the NFC West division quite easily over the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks who are both 3-6.

The 49ers will dominate the Cardinals on the ground this week with backup Kendall Hunter filling in very nicely for Frank Gore

Hunter averages 4.6 yards per carry and played very well against the New York Giants last week. The Cardinals will not have the same success through the air this week that they did last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 49ers allow just 73.2 rushing yards per game, and will make the Cardinals offense one-dimensional this week.

2. New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Giants -6)

The New York Giants need to win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night to extend their lead in the NFC East division and they will do that with a dominating performance.

The Eagles defense is having real troubles against the pass, and allowed John Skelton of the Arizona Cardinals to play quite well against them last week.

Vince Young will start at quarterback for the Eagles due to Michael Vick's injury, and the Giants pass rush, which is very talented will pressure him all night.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw four touchdown passes in a Week 3 win against the Eagles, and will dominate them through the air again with the play of emerging receiver Victor Cruz and tight end Jake Ballard.

3. Atlanta Falcons vs. Tennessee Titans (Falcons -7)

The Tennessee Titans have been an inconsistent team this season, and will fall out of the AFC playoff race to the Atlanta Falcons this week.

The Falcons passing offense is firing on all cylinders with quarterback Matt Ryan leading the way. Even with Julio Jones battling a hamstring injury, the passing attack won't skip a beat.

Harry Douglas caught eight passes for 133 yards and a touchdown last week filling in for Jones.

Running back Michael Turner has rushed for 100 yards or more four times this season, and his hitting his stride after a slow start to the season.

The Titans allow 125.2 rushing yards per game, and they won't be able to prevent Turner and the Falcons from controlling the clock and dominating this game.
