Packers vs. Buccaneers: 5 Halftime Adjustments Green Bay Must Make

The Packers come into this matchup looking to continue their winning streak and stay unbeaten. The Packers offense has been firing on all cylinders and looks to keep it going against the Bucs.

The Packers have looked good so far, but need to clean up a few things to make sure they leave the game with a victory.

Here are five things Green Bay must do in the second half against Green Bay:

1) Better Coverage On Short Passing Routes

The Packers defense has looked solid, but the Bucs have been exploiting shorter crossing routes against the Packers LBs.

The Packers need to shore up their coverage to limit long, steady drives that keep the powerful offense off of the field. 

2) Keep Attacking the Holes in the Zone

Aaron Rodgers has had success finding the WRs in the holes in the Cover 2 zone. Look for the Packers to keep running intermediate routes, exposing the gaps between LBs and the gaps between in the secondary.

Jordy Nelson had success finding gaps and Rodgers should keep looking for him. Expect a lot of out routes for the Packers skilled WRs.

3) Keep Protecting Rodgers

The O-Line has done great so far, but will need to continue to protect Aaron Rodgers. He has proven that with time, he can exploit any defensive look thrown at him.

Expect more blitzes from the Bucs and the O-Line needs to make sure they have their protection down to help the offense keep scoring points.

4) More James Starks

The Packers need to establish the run game that will help open up the passing game. Starks had good success in his limited touches and should continue to get the ball.

Starks has helped open up the defense and has done well on screens. Look for him to get a ton of touches in the second half, as the Packers look to run out the clock on the Bucs.

5) Limit Blount

The Packers defense needs to key on Blount in the second half. The defense looked terrible on his long run with tons of missed tackles.

The defense needs to force the Bucs into passing situations and maximize the time the offense is on the field.
