UFC 139: Cung Le Will Beat Down Wanderlei Silva

Wanderlei Silva is one of the best MMA fighters of all time, but he is far from the man he was when he was dominating MMA.

That’s why UFC newcomer and veteran fighter Cung Le will have his way with Silva.

Cung Le is one of the greatest kick boxers to ever live. For him to be successful against Silva, he will have to utilize his kicks and use them to keep his opponent at bay.

Don’t be mistaken by Le’s willingness to kick, he has viscous hands and has won by TKO in seven of his eight career MMA fights.

If Le can continue to keep his patience and keep Silva from taking him down, this is his fight to lose.

While Cung Le is the clear favorite, the MMA game ensures that no man is a sure thing in a fight—especially against Silva.

With a barrage of heavy hands and vicious knees, Silva has won plenty of fights that he had no business contending in.

While he is widely regarded as one of the best, his record as of late shows he is well past his prime.

Silva was 31–5–1 coming into July of 2006, but the end of his Pride run and a move over to UFC caused the star to lose six of his last eight fights.

Both men are in there mid-to-late 30s but in excellent shape, and this bout will come down to who capitalizes on the other’s mistakes first.

Cung Le will kick Silva into making a mistake and knock him out.
