Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Aaron Rodgers and Top 3 QBs This Weekend

Richard LangfordNov 19, 2011

Aaron Rodgers is headed towards another massive fantasy day in Week 11. He will be in the top three for production in a week that will have several QBs making their fantasy owners very happy.

Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers

Opponent: Buccaneers

You can just ink Aaron Rodgers on this list for every week. With stats like these, it is not surprising.

Those numbers are only going to improve this week. The Buccaneers have been struggling mightily on pass defense.

They are 28th in passing yards allowed per game. Even worse than that is the fact that they are dead last in yards allowed per pass attempt.

They are also 22nd in passing TDs allowed per game. That number would certainly be worse if they weren't also 30th in rushing TDs allowed per game.

Given that the Packers have the fourth highest percentage of TDs coming via the pass, it is safe to assume that Green Bay will be throwing their way into the endzone in this game.

Rodgers is clearly headed for a huge day.

Prediction: Rodgers 27/33, 342 yards, 3 TDs

Raiders' QB Carson Palmer

Opponent: Vikings

The Vikings are tough against the run and miserable against the pass.

They are 30th in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game, and 25th in yards allowed per pass attempt.

They have little hope of improving on any of those numbers. Minnesota will be without CB Antoine Winfield, who was lost for the season last week, CB Chris Cook, who is away from the team while he deals with a felony domestic assault charge, and S Husain Abdullah, who suffered his second concussion of the season.

Carson Palmer will be able to exploit this massive weakness. Palmer is coming on strong and was fantastic in Week 10.

Palmer will have his choice of places to attack in this one. Football Outsiders ranks the Vikings 26th, 29th, 26th guarding team's No. 1, No. 2 and all other WRs respectively. They are also 26th stopping TEs.

The Raiders' track team disguised as receivers will be on the fast track of metrodome turf. This will find them leaving the Vikings' defenders in their field turf granules.

The Vikings only shot to disrupt this pass game is to put pressure on Palmer.

Jared Allen leads a pass rush that is seventh in sack percentage. However, the Raiders are second in the NFL in sacks allowed percentage.

Anyway you look at this one, it points to Palmer having a huge day.

Prediction: Palmer 23/30, 310 yards, 3 TDs

Opponent: Eagles

At the beginning of the season, it seemed like the Eagles would be an opposing QBs nightmare. It was hard to see how even the best QBs could find a way to attack this star-studded secondary.

Things have not worked out that way. Case in point, last week Cardinals' QB John Skeleton threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns against the "Dream Team."

The Eagles are still a respectable 11th in passing yards allowed, but that is getting worse by the week. It is also aided by the fact that they have had a hard time stopping the run. This means most teams are choosing to attack them with the running game.

This is reflected in the fact that Philadelphia is a not as impressive 17th in yards allowed per pass attempt.

This bodes well for Eli Manning and the pass happy Giants. Eli has struggled with consistency in real life this season, but not in the fantasy world.

He is putting up numbers every week. He is coming off of a 311 yard and two touchdown performance against a 49ers' defense that is much better than the one he'll face this week.

Manning will put up some big numbers this week, and essentially end the Eagles season in the process.

Prediction: Manning 28/37, 324 yards, 2 TDs
