WWE Survivor Series 2011: Why The Miz & R-Truth Must Defeat John Cena & The Rock

Brandon GalvinNov 19, 2011

It is imperative that The Miz and R-Truth walk out of WWE Survivor Series 2011 winners against John Cena and The Rock.

WWE has done a pitiful job booking Awesome Truth since the RAW after "Hell in a Cell." Instead of looking like legitimate threats like they did when they were arrested at the end of that PPV, Awesome Truth have been complete jokes.

Instead of being booked like the top heels in the WWE that they should be, they have been made out to be clowns. They continuously fail to get the upper hand on Cena—unless you count a pathetic victory several weeks back, which only came one week after Cena already owned them.

There isn’t a single person that believes Awesome Truth actually have a chance against The Rock and Cena. It’s difficult enough going against a Hall of Fame caliber tag team combination and it’s even worse when you’re booked to be so far inferior that nobody believes you have a chance unless there’s a massive screw job.

WWE could have made Awesome Truth look strong, yet they’ve been abused in the ring and on the microphone leading up to this "epic" pay-per-view.

If the booking team actually has Miz and Truth lose on Sunday, we can effectively kiss their careers goodbye. Even worse, WWE will be left without quality heels on their program.

WWE is void of high-caliber heels aside from Mark Henry. Alberto del Rio is just as big of a joke as Miz and Truth, except he’s viewed by the fans to be even more inferior than Awesome Truth. Don’t even get me started on the sloth that is Kevin Nash, who has been incapable of even carrying a feud, let alone a match or promo, for at least a decade.

WWE screwed up two months ago with Awesome Truth, but everything can be salvaged with one monstrous victory against the most charismatic tag team ever assembled. One victory would legitimize Awesome Truth as true power players for the rest of their time in WWE.

All it takes is one moment—and that moment must come Sunday, November 20 at Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden.
