The Rock Survivor Series: Miz and R-Truth Being Wasted as Sacrifical Lambs
I understand that the Rock hasn't wrestled in nearly eight years. While his match against John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII will hardly be a technical classic, it stands to reason that the WWE wouldn't want one-half of the biggest match at their biggest show going in with that kind of rust.
And after that kind of layoff, anyone will be experiencing rust.
The Miz and R-Truth, or "Awesome Truth," seem to be too good for this match. I say that particularly about the Miz, who is not even a year removed from being in the main event, and winning the Main Event, of WrestleMania.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
R-Truth doesn't bother me as much. I don't see him as being much more than a "jobber to the stars." Now, I get that they are a tag team, so if one is going to be in a tag match, the other pretty much has to be, but this is a waste.
Does anyone really think that these two have a chance?
In my eyes, there is only one way that these two would win, and that's for Cena or the Rock to turn on each other. But let's take a look at each of those possibilities.
Rock turns on Cena
In terms of official standing, this would make the Rock the heel in their feud. But the fans would never react that way.
For one, the Rock is more popular than Cena anyway. Two, that will be heightened this year as WrestleMania XXVIII will be in Miami, which is the Rock's hometown.
So, let's move to scenario two.
Cena turns on Rock
This one is maybe a little more possible, but still rather pointless. The Rock will not be around between now and WrestleMania at anywhere near a consistent level. Turning Cena would be losing one of the companies biggest faces for a few months.
Now, a Cena heel turn isn't a bad idea. His character can certainly use a change. But to make Cena an official heel between now and WrestleMania would ruin some of that match's magic.
If anything, I would have Cena and the Rock fight at WrestleMania. Then, whoever wins, the two would embrace. From there, Cena would attack the Rock and turn heel then.
Turning him right now would be bad timing.
And while I think either of those scenarios would be a bad idea, if either happened, the Miz and R-Truth would be completely overshadowed.
So, the WWE is putting at least one of its biggest and best heels in a match where he's just doomed to fail. I don't put R-Truth at Miz's level, but he's not far from it.
This isn't like booking them to lose against a normal tag team. The story of this event is Cena and the Rock tagging together. The Miz and R-Truth could be much better used. If anything, Cena and Rock should have been in a traditional Survivor Series match with Awesome Truth on the other side.
More could happen that to build Awesome Truth, while the storyline between the Rock and Cena would still be built.
Right now, it's just pointless.
