Week 11 Start Em Sit Em: Start and Sit Decisions at Every Position

Zach KruseNov 18, 2011

Start: QB Carson Palmer

Sit: QB Andy Dalton

Palmer has thrown for five scores in his first two starts, and he faces a Vikings secondary that is down to the bottom of the barrel. Dalton likely has to face one of the top pass defenses without his top target A.J. Green.

Start: RB Brandon Jacobs

Sit: RB Beanie Wells

Ahmad Bradshaw doesn't look good to play Sunday, so Jacobs should get the majority of carries against the Eagles' porous run defense. Wells doesn't get the same luck, as he faces a 49ers defense that hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown this season.

Start: WR Anquan Boldin

Sit: WR Steve Johnson

Boldin has been Joe Flacco's favorite target throughout the 2011 season, and the Bengals will be without Leon Hall, the top cornerback on their roster. Johnson has struggled since getting off to a hot start and hasn't gotten to the end zone or cracked 10 fantasy points since Week 3.

Start: TE Fred Davis

Sit: TE Jermaine Gresham

With the Redskins still banged up on offense, Davis is left as the only viable pass-catching option for Rex Grossman. In facing the Ravens on Sunday, Gresham has to deal with the top fantasy defense against opposing tight ends in 2011.

Start: Packers DEF/ST

Sit: Bengals DEF/ST

Not only do the Packers intercept more passes than any team in the NFL, but they also have Randall Cobb, who turned in his second return touchdown of the season last week. The Bengals lost shutdown cornerback Leon Hall for the season against the Steelers, and his loss will prove to be a much bigger subtraction than most believe.

Start: K David Akers

Sit: K Phil Dawson

The 49ers should have plenty of field goal opportunities on Sunday, as the Cardinals have allowed 10 or more fantasy points to kickers in six of nine games this season. Dawson missed a 22-yard field goal last week that could shake his confidence, plus the Jaguars have been the best against fantasy kickers in 2011.
