Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Ranking the Week's Worst Starts

Zach KruseNov 18, 2011

In Week 11 of the NFL season, the following players are the worst starts for your fantasy football roster:

QB Andy Dalton, Bengals: The Bengals' rookie quarterback played well against the Steelers last week (170 yards, 2 TDs), but the Ravens are better against the pass in 2011 and Dalton will likely be missing top target A.J. Green. There's not much upside here.

QB Josh Freeman, Bucs: Freeman has been sloppy with the football this season (13 interceptions), and no team in the NFL has been better at picking it off than the Packers. Green Bay's defense looked markedly better on Monday night, too.

RB Beanie Wells, Cardinals: The 49ers are the best run defense in football, and they haven't given up a score on the ground this season. Is there really any reason to think Wells is going to be the first?

RB Ryan Grant, Packers: Grant still charades as the Packers' starting running back, but the truth is that James Starks almost always ends with the most touches. There will always be some touches for Grant, but not the important ones.

RB Roy Helu, Redskins: Are you willing to play Mike Shanahan's spinning wheel of running backs? That's the risk you take with Helu, who has looked good at times but might not get the opportunity on any given week.

WR Steve Johnson, Bills: Johnson's numbers have fallen as Ryan Fitzpatrick has struggled, but the fact is that Johnson hasn't caught a touchdown or gone over 10 fantasy points since Week 3. To make matters worse, he's dealing with a bum shoulder.

TE Jermaine Gresham, Bengals: No fantasy defense has given up less points to opposing tight ends this season than the Baltimore Ravens. Ray Lewis may not play, however, so there is that little token of hope for Gresham in Week 11.
