Lets Not Arse About in the Transfer Window, Arsene: Arsenal's Transfer Prospects

With Arsenal Premiership hopes almost down the drain, and their Champions league hopes looking a little dim Arsenal can use the January transfer window as a chance to boost their under strength youthful side. Arsenal need nothing more than an experienced player who can bring skill and talent to the Arsenal squad.

Here they are:

Defenders

With Arsenals defence being to inconsistent and unreliable Arsenal need some one to partner either Johan Djourou or Kolo Toure ( if he stays). With Gallas likely to go to a stronger club like Juventus or Inter, Arsenal could get a handy price for the Frenchmen something around five to seven million. This gives Arsenal some breathing space to spend some money on a quality defender. Arsenal need a player who is rock solid, reliable, good in the air and have decent ball skills. I propose

Daniel Agger: 8 million 

Agger is a solid and reliable young player who can add huge depth to the central defence. Agger is  big and strong and is known to keep consistency. With Martin Skirtel and Jamie Carragher the first choice center halves at Liverpool, Arsenal could offer Agger more game time which could be very appealing for the Dane. If Arsenal offer 8 million which is a reasonable price Liverpool would surely think about letting their central defender go.

Marc Planus: 7.5 million

The Bordeux man no doubt knows how to defend. Planus is very reliable and is almost as strong as a solid brick wall. Planus would be a great addition to the Arsenal defence and would make the Arsenal defence a hell of alot more reliable and consistent. Planus has been at Bordeaux for six years now and Arsenal could offer him bigger and better things. If Arsenal were to offer 7.5-8.5 million Bordeaux should accept.

Naldo: 8million

Naldo is a very versatile central defender who can play a number of positions. He is very strong and has a powerful header. Naldo would help greatly when set plays came up in defence and attack. Naldo would be hard to get but if the right amount is offered Werder Bremen may just give in.

Giorgio Chiellini: 5 million plus William Gallas 

A hugely talented youngster who is a very phsycial player who has kept the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic quiet when he has been made to mark him. Chiellini has incredible strength and is a great tackler. He could take charge in the Arsenal backline and make sure nothing gets through. If William Gallas is sold to Juventus and we give them 5 million I think Juventus might just consider letting Chilleni go.

Midfielders

A huge problem this season for Arsenal has been their central midfielder. Having lost Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto Silva in the center midfield due to July transfers the Arsenal midfield lack serious experience and leadership. With know one to partner Cesc Fabregas in the middle Arsenal desperately need a midfield who can take the workload of Cesc and let him play his own game whilst they do the defensive duties in the midfield.

If Arsenal sell Nicklas Bendter and Alexandre Song they could make up to 13 million which could buy them some excellent midfielders and give them a little extra money.

Blaise Matuidi: 10 million

He may only be 21 but this boy has maturity beyond his years. Arsenal are very keen to bring Blaise to the Arsenal squad and don't be surprised if he does end up coming to the club. Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi has hailed Matuidi as the next Viera.

Matuidi has a magnificent footballing brain not to mention superb perceptive passing. He is solid and strong and can do most of the defensive work in the midfield. He could work very well with Cesc and give added depth to the Arsenal midfield.

Miquel Veloso: 11 million

A genius midfielder who has an excellent passing ranger. Veloso is wanted by many big clubs so Arsenal need to act fast. Veloso would add so much talent to the Arsenal midfielder with his amazing vision and brain, his toughness and physicality plus his handy shot would be very useful.

Arsene Wengerwas very keen to have the Sporting Lisbon boy come to Arsenal at the start of the season but it unfortunately did not happen. If Arsenal were to offer either 11 million for the midfielder or 6 million and either Alexandre Song, Mark Randall, or Nicklas Bendter Sporting would surely let their midfield maestro go.

Antony Annan: 6-8million

The 22 talent is currently playing for Rosenborg SK in Norway and a club like Norway could offer him bigger and better things. Annan has  great ball skills and is a very good defender. Annan has immense skill with a physical presence that would be very useful at Arsenal.

Xabier Alonso: 12-15 million 

A big named star who would be perfect for Arsenal if they can snap the Spaniard up. Alonso has so many star traits like his ability to thread the right passes together, and his strength, maturity and vision. These would be extremely useful at Arsenal plus the Liverpool man would be stunning with Cesc.

Liverpool would not give in easily and Arsenal would need to offer a big price bewteen 12-15 million but Arsenal could offer 10million and Niklas Bendter and Mark Randall or Alexandre Song. A must for Arsenal.

Rubén de la Red Gutiérrez: 8-11 million

Unfortunately De Lad Red is out for the rest of the season but I still think Arsenal should aim at this boy as he is extremely talented. He has great vision and passing and could help out defensively and attackingly.

Sergio Busquets: 8-10 million

Busquets is a young and talented midfielder who is very tall and strong. He would add great strength to the Arsenal midfielder and could work very well with Cesc. He has good vision and a solid passing game plus he is very hard to tackle.

Forwards

The Arsenal forwards have been pretty good this season with the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Robin van Persie, and Carlos Vela all looking very good but Arsenal may just need to bring in a talent striker to compensate for injuries. As I said before selling Nicklas Bendter and Alexandre Song would bring in some much needed money which could buy a talented striker.

Salomon Kalou: 7-9 million

A very versatile and quick player who would be very useful at Arsenal with his pace and quick feet causing all sorts of problems for defences. Kalou would be unlikely if Arsenal manage to sign the likes of Xabi Alonso or Miquel Veloso. Kalou is very versatile and can play any were in the midfield and upfront.

Chelsea would be unlikely to let go of their talented youngster but if the right amount is given they may give in.

Mikel Danobeitia Martin: 1 million

A youngster who looks a good sort. A very tall and aggressive striker with a big boot. Danobeitia is currently playing for UD Salamanca who Arsenal have a good relationship with. Danobeitia would be a useful player if brought to Arsenal.

Pablo Mariano Granoche Louro: 1-3 million 

If Wenger does sell Bendter and is looking to replace him then Granoche is one who could definitely be of use. He has good balance for a big man and a good header. He would bring strength and power up front.
