Week 11 Fantasy Rankings: Andy Dalton and QBs with Unfavorable Matchups

Nicholas GossNov 18, 2011

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton struggled against the talented Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 10, and his job doesn't get any easier this Sunday versus a great Baltimore Ravens defense looking to bounce back from an embarrassing game against the Seattle Seahawks last week.

This late in the fantasy football season, you cannot be playing quarterbacks with unfavorable matchups on your team.

Let's look at quarterbacks with the most unfavorable matchups in Week 11 of the NFL season.

1. Andy Dalton

The Baltimore Ravens are third in the NFL in sacks and have several talented pass-rushers. The Ravens also lead the league with 15 forced fumbles and three touchdowns off fumble recoveries.

It's clear that Baltimore gets after the quarterback and force turnovers. Against a rookie quarterback in Andy Dalton, the Ravens will bring pressure often on Sunday and force the young QB to make some poor throws.

Baltimore allows just 194.3 passing yards per game, and there is no worse matchup in the league for Dalton. Bench him if you can this week.

2. Joe Flacco

Dalton's opposite number on Sunday is Joe Flacco, and he too has a poor matchup. The Bengals are third in the NFL with 12 forced fumbles, and are eighth in the NFL with 25 sacks.

The Bengals allow just 217.4 passing yards per game, and Flacco was very average last week against Seattle, completing 29 of 52 passes in a loss.

Flacco will struggle against the Bengals pass defense on Sunday, and his inconsistency the entire season should worry you this week.

The Washington Redskins made life miserable for the Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in Week 3, and he will again struggle on Sunday against the ninth ranked pass defense.

The Redskins are third in the NFL in sacks with 27 and allow just 216.7 passing yards per game.

With Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray running the ball so well in recent weeks, Dallas will make the rushing attack the focal point of its offense in Week 11, thus limiting the amount of points Romo will be able to get for your fantasy team.
