Thursday Night Football: Jets' Defense Will Lead Gang Green to Ugly Victory
Thursday Night Football is hours away from continuing its tour of the AFC West with a trip to Denver. The 4-5 Broncos will host the 5-4 New York Jets in a game that's pretty much a must win for both teams.
So, will Tim Tebow continue leading his Broncos to inexplicable victories, or will the Jets restore order with a road win?
I'd be lying if I said that I saw a pretty game out of this one. The punters will probably get as much action in this one as anyone else.

But when I look at what's sure to be a defensive battle, the Jets certainly have the edge over the Broncos in that department. That's why even though they are on the road and coming off of a really short week, they will prevail.
The Jets' offense has been at best inconsistent all season. A very average unit in the Patriots just dominated them on Sunday Night.
But there is a difference. When you don't score on the Patriots, you make life very difficult for yourself. Tom Brady and his vast array of weapons are simply too good.
The Broncos just don't have that. Even when Tim Tebow is playing his best game, this is not a team that can win in many different ways.
They have to do a lot of running and short passes. The Jets aren't the team to be one-dimensional against.
The Jets also have the advantage of having Darrelle Revis effectively shutting down one-half of the field. That will give them the opportunity to throw defensive sets on the field that neutralize Tebow's mobility.
I don't see this one being like the 45-10 catastrophe that hit the Broncos when they hosted Detroit. The Jets' offense just isn't that good.
This won't be a game with many classic pretty plays, if any. But that style suits the Jets just fine.
Prediction: Jets 20, Broncos 14
