Hope Solo: Dancing with the Stars Disses Hope and Maks After Elimination

Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were sent off ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and that was only the beginning of a rough night. 

Usually, the freshly eliminated couple makes the losers rounds. Well, it's not called that but that is essentially what it is. 

The exit tour includes a stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live and the following morning's Good Morning America. For Hope and Mad Maks, not so much. The two were sent off and then continued to be pushed off the lot it seems. 

Gossip guru Perez Hilton speculates this is simply, "due to it being during the semi-final rounds of the competition, the network has instead decided to promote the remaining three contestants - Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and J.R. Martinez - before the finale next week!"

That's the boring version. There was plenty of time to include the other couple on these shows ahead of the finals. You are telling me that Hope Solo, soccer star and World Cup hero, didn't warrant at least a few minutes on one of the shows?

I don't buy it. The fact is Solo and Chmerkovskiy were increasingly irate in how they felt they were being treated by the judges. 

ABC may have just been wary of what they would say about their failed stint on Dancing with the Stars. The last thing they want before the celebration that is the finals is a controversy from an eliminated couple. 

It is beyond odd that one of the most lauded "stars" in Season 13 was dismissed so casually. Before this season started, every last sports fan and dancing guru wanted to know more about the sultry Hope Solo. 

Now she has been given the boot and asked not to turn back for even a final bow in the usual manner. 

It seems that America had quite enough of Hope Solo, and so had ABC.
