WWE Survivor Series 2011 Predictions: The Miz and R Truth Must Win in Main Event

T.J. McaloonNov 17, 2011

History remembers only two things: who wins and who loses. Sure, some people may remember the details of what happened. However, in the long run, all that matters is if you won or if you lost.

It’s why this match on Sunday night at Survivor Series is the most important match in the wrestling careers of The Miz and R Truth. Not only is the match important, but they have to defeat the team of The Rock and John Cena.

In the past, both Miz and R-Truth have had big matches in their WWE careers. Miz is a former WWE Champion, and one of few champions to go into WrestleMania as a heel champion and retain his title. He has shown in his career with WWE that he can rise to the occasion in big matches like this one.

However, his partner, R-Truth, has yet to succeed in a big match like this one. For example, in his lone WWE Title match earlier this year, Truth did not come away with a victory. He does have a chance though, in this match to turn his fortune around, if he can come up big in this tag-team match.

Together the team of “Awesome Truth” has banded together to be one of the better tag teams that WWE has seen in recent years. They are one of those unique teams that does not need the tag-team titles to solidify how dominant of a team they are.

Since they paired up together over the summer, they have been fired, gotten Triple H fired and then re-hired by the person who took over for Triple H. All the while, they have been involved in big feuds with Triple H and CM Punk, and now Rock and Cena.

Both superstars have used each other’s best abilities to make them a dominant force. Now they have to use these intangibles to overthrow the power team of Rock and Cena.

Their has been speculation that Cena or Rock will turn on one another during the match, leading to a victory for Awesome Truth.

To which I say, fine, let them turn on each other. Who cares if Cena hits Rock with his finisher, or if Rock walks out on Cena during the match? Either way, a win is a win, no matter how it comes.

This Sunday at Survivor Series, the lasting thought will not be how Miz and Truth won their match. It will be that they did go over two of the best superstars in the history of the WWE.

That’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and it’s awesome.
