Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Projecting Top Point Scorers at WR

Wes ODonnellNov 17, 2011

The NFL is without some of its top scoring wide receivers this week.

There is no Mike Wallace or Antonio Brown. There is no Marques Colston.

There is no Andre Johnson (well, there hasn't been an Andre Johnson since Week 4, but he will be back in Week 12).

And there is no ... actually, the Indianapolis Colts are the other bye team and if you were starting any of their receivers then you were already in trouble.

Here are the top scoring WRs this week.

Calvin Johnson, Lions

Bounce back week for Megatron, Matthew Stafford and the Lions as a whole.

There is nobody on the Carolina Panthers defense remotely capable of covering Calvin Johnson.

Expect to see the Lions jump out on the Panthers early as they look to regain confidence and form.

Dez Bryant, Cowboys

His production will likely only come in the first half, but the Cowboys will be out to bury the Washington Redskins in the first half before turning to the run game in the second.

Bryant is virtually uncoverable at times. Most of those times are early in the game.

Tony Romo has been dialed in and although he's using Laurent Robinson a fair amount, it is Bryant he looks for first.

Roddy White, Falcons

With Julio Jones likely out again this week, the Falcons will have to depend on Roddy White and Harry Douglas.

Douglas was the top target a week ago in the loss to the Saints. That is a problem in both respects.

The Falcons cannot afford to lose anymore games as they chase an NFC wild-card berth. Their best bet is to get White involved early and often.

Atlanta is at home this week against Tennessee.

Other Players to Consider

Victor Cruz, Giants - Cruz is now the Giants' leading receiver. Incredible, yes. His coming out party started Week 3 against the Eagles when he caught three balls for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

Vincent Jackson, Chargers - Philip Rivers needs to make an active effort to involve his top receiver this week. If he doesn't there is a good chance the Chargers lose an unthinkable fifth straight game.
