NFL Week 11 Picks: Quick Predictions for Every Game Against the Spread

Alex KayNov 17, 2011

Week 11 of the NFL season starts tonight and you can start your weekend off right by hitting big on the Jets vs. Broncos game.

After that we have 11 exciting matchups on Sunday and then we see what should be a closer game than expected as the Patriots close out the week at home against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Here are my predictions for each game in Week 11.

Denver Broncos (+6.5) vs. New York Jets

Tim Tebow and the Broncos’ new run-option offense is going to be a success in the NFL. It also bleeds the clock and can force a better opponent’s offense off the field for long stretches.

I think this game is decided by a field goal no matter who wins.

Tennessee Titans (+6) at Atlanta Falcons

Tennessee looked very good last week against the Carolina Panthers and won by 27 points.

They should ride that momentum into the Georgia Dome and play the Falcons very close.

Buffalo Bills (+2) at Miami Dolphins

Miami rips off two straight wins and now they are a favorite?

I still don’t believe in them.

Take the points with the Bills in a game they should win easy.

Baltimore Ravens (-7) vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Baltimore plays very well coming off losses and will punish the Bengals after being upset by the Seahawks last week.

They have too much to lose if they fall to the Bengals and are too experienced to let that happen.

Cleveland Browns (PK) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

This is a tough game between two stalwart defenses and terrible offenses.

When in doubt, take the home team in a pick ‘em, but I would advise staying away from this unless you have to make a choice.

Minnesota Vikings (+1) vs. Oakland Raiders

Minnesota has a good running defense and the Raiders simply rely on the run too much.

While it can work (see the Denver Broncos), I think Minnesota pulls this one out at home as an underdog.

Carolina Panthers (+7) at Detroit Lions

Will Cam Newton have another awful game again like he did last week against the Titans?

I highly doubt it against this Lions team that was exposed by the Bears in Week 10.

Look for the Panthers to rebound from that loss and at least cover here while they follow the Bears game plan against them.

Washington Redskins (+7.5) vs. Dallas Cowboys

The games are always close between these two heated divisional rivals.

Last time they played it was a field goal kicking contest that the Cowboys squeaked out, but anything could go in their second brawl of the season.

Take the points here, especially since it is in D.C.

San Francisco 49ers (-9.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have been winners of two straight games with John Skelton but that streak ends on Sunday.

The 49ers are the class of the NFC West and a top team in all of football.

I can’t see them letting the Cardinals get within 10 points of them this week.

St. Louis Rams (-1.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks

This is another strange game between two teams that have been inconsistent all season long.

The Rams are home and playing in the dome, which should give them the edge.

Chicago Bears (-3.5) vs. San Diego Chargers

Chicago is one of the hottest teams in football right now and has an easy matchup against the slumping Chargers.

San Diego was supposed to win the AFC West this year easily and make it back to the playoffs, but they have imploded. Look for the Bears to take this by a TD.

New York Giants (-5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

With or without Michael Vick on the field, the Eagles are losing this game.

They couldn’t even beat the Cardinals in Philadelphia last week.

Arizona seemingly never wins on the East Coast but somehow got it done against this terrible team.

The Giants are trying to win the NFC East and could help that cause a lot with a win on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs (+15) vs. New England Patriots

Just because Tyler Palko will be starting for the Chiefs does not mean they will completely fall apart.

The team has a solid running game and will be facing the worst secondary in football.

Kansas City will keep this closer than you think.
