Laurent Robinson Fantasy: Dallas Cowboys Receiver Is a Points Man to Pick Up

Laurent Robinson is a wide receiver who Tony Romo keeps his eyes on and the Dallas Cowboys are now happy to keep in their hands.

Fantasy owners will now want to have him in their hands, too.

Robinson has been a big-time touchdown receiver for the Cowboys this season. On Sunday, Romo hooked up with the 26-year-old for two of his three touchdown passes. In the second quarter, Robinson slipped away from his man and Romo dropped a pass over his shoulder. The receiver took it in stride and ran in for the touchdown—a 58-yard score, no less.

"As easy a touchdown as you'll see in the NFL," Phil Simms said on the CBS telecast.

The touchdown was easy because Robinson made it easy with his speed. It allows him to break away for big receptions.

Robinson is becoming the man to throw to on deep passes in Dallas. Averaging 16.3 yards per catch, Robinson can definitely stretch the field. Against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Illinois State product caught a 70-yard touchdown pass. Four of his catches have been for 30 yards or more.

He is also a good hot-read receiver. Of his 27 catches, 17 have been for first downs.

Robinson has been a fine target for Romo as Miles Austin nurses a persistent hamstring injury. The Cowboys had signed him on September 8, but he didn't net a catch against the New York Jets. The Cowboys cut Robinson only to re-sign him a week later.

Since then, the former Atlanta Falcon has been just fine. Robinson has averaged 73.5 yards per game in the last six contests. He has caught at least three passes in five of the last seven games and his four touchdown catches have come in the last three. The Cowboys shouldn't have reason to be disappointed by his production.

No fantasy owner would be disappointed after picking him up. Robinson should get a touchdown and at least 60 yards receiving. Robinson's a can't miss receiver.
