NFL Picks Week 11: Safe Bets to Make on New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos Game

Now that we have a Thursday night NFL game each and every week until the end of the season, gamblers can start making wagers earlier and build their bankroll up for the weekend games.

A solid take on Thursday will line your pockets and allow you to bet more games on Sunday, which is never a bad thing in my mind.

Tonight’s game has the New York Jets taking on the Denver Broncos at Mile High, and it should be a good one.

Let’s take a look at some of the plays you can and should make later this evening.

Denver Broncos (+6.5)

The home team is getting nearly a touchdown here, and it should be a safe play in a game that will be close.

Since Tim Tebow took over as the starting QB, the Broncos have gone 3-1 and completely rebuilt their offense around him.

Look for them to run the ball 50-plus times this game and completely bleed the clock and wear out the Jets defense.

I expect this game to be tight and decided by a late field goal.

Under 40

This is an incredibly low number of points to be scored, but if the Broncos can run the ball like they did against Kansas City, they will eat up time of possession.

They held the ball for 33:38 minutes last week and have been averaging 31:38 minutes with the ball over the past three games. The Jets have been holding it for 33:30 over their last three as well.

Both teams are going to look to run the ball hard and make short, possession-oriented throws to bleed the clock out and move the chains. Because of this, it should be a low-scoring affair.
