Jerry Sandusky: Ex-Daughter-in-Law's Restraining Order Preview of Things to Come

Now, it’s time for the family backlash.

The Jerry Sandusky scandal has provided us with plenty of information about the victims and the entire Penn State campus, but we have yet to hear much from any of his family members.

Until now.

Sandusky's former daughter-in-law Jill Jones has heard the horrific news about the 40 counts of child molestation given to the father of her ex-husband, and she reacted immediately according to a report obtained by The Daily:

"After hearing the horrific charges on November 5, Ms Jones urged her ex-husband to keep the children away from their grandfather. Later that day Sandusky's wife Dorothy sent Ms Jones a text message informing her that Matt had taken the children to her State College, Pennsylvania home, but that Sandusky was not present.

Mrs Sandusky also phoned Ms Jones to try to persuade her that the children would be safe around her husband."

Jones didn’t take the bait, and was successfully able to secure the restraining order. Jones and Matt Sandusky have two daughters aged nine and seven and one son who is five.

I have a feeling this isn’t going to be the only family members to distance themselves from Sandusky. Matt was one of six children that Sandusky adopted through The Second Mile. Four months after leaving with Sandusky, he attempted to commit suicide.

I wonder why?

This story just keeps getting worse and I sure wouldn’t want my kids within 1,000 miles of this guy—regardless if he was family or not. Clearly, this man has no limits and who knows what has already occurred while Sandusky was “watching” his grandchildren? 

The head-scratching thing is how Sandusky’s wife is still by his side. How in the world can you read the grand jury report and still back your husband?

It’s mind-boggling.

Expect more of Sandusky’s grandchildren to be protected from the alleged felon in the coming days. Apparently, only his wife is willing to stick by his side during the worst scandal in the history of college sports.
