NFL Power Rankings: Nosediving Squads That Will Only Get Worse
Two weeks ago, I wrote this sentence: "There isn't a team in the NFL that wants to play the Philadelphia Eagles right now."
Boy, was I wrong—the Bears and Cardinals couldn't wait to play the Eagles.
At 3-6, the Eagles have about as much hope recovering their season as a cowboy has lassoing a bull with dental floss. Defensive coordinator Juan Castillo can't figure out that you should play Nnamdi Asomugha on Larry Fitzgerald for the entire game, Michael Vick is unlikely to play against a solid Giants team, DeSean Jackson isn't happy and the Eagles don't have a single playmaker at linebacker or safety.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
All is lost. But they aren't the only team descending into doom. Here are this week's Power Rankings:
1. Green Bay Packers (9-0)
2. San Francisco 49ers (8-1)
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3)
4. New Orleans Saints (7-3)
5. New York Giants (6-3)
6. New England Patriots (6-3)
7. Baltimore Ravens (6-3)
8. Chicago Bears (6-3)
9. Detroit Lions (6-3)
10. Houston Texans (6-3)
11. Cincinnati Bengals (6-3)
One loss a nosedive does not make. Until you consider that the Bengals have a tough schedule the rest of the way: Two dates with Baltimore, a trip to Pittsburgh and a visit from Houston. A once 6-2 squad is unlikely to make the playoffs.
12. Atlanta Falcons (6-3)
13. New York Jets (5-4)
14. Dallas Cowboys (5-4)
15. Tennessee Titans (5-4)
16. Buffalo Bills (5-4)
17. Oakland Raiders (5-4)
18. San Diego Chargers (4-5)
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)
Tampa Bay team has lost three straight and has games against Green Bay, Tennessee, Dallas and Atlanta down the stretch. Suddenly, 7-9 doesn't look so bad for the Bucs.
20. Denver Broncos (4-5)
21. Kansas City Chiefs (4-5)
I can sum up the impending nosedive for Kansas City with two words: Tyler Palko. Here are three more words: Poor Kansas City.
22. Arizona Cardinals (3-6)
23. Philadelphia Eagles (3-6)
Please see my diatribe above.
24. Miami Dolphins (2-7)
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)
26. Washington Redskins (3-6)
Remember when Washington was 3-1, people were singing Rex Grossman's praises and the Redskins were suddenly a trendy pick to win the NFC East? After five straight losses, those days suddenly feel like some strange dream. Or worse, a cruel moment of hope for Washington fans that deserve so much more than what Daniel Snyder has given them.
27. Minnesota Vikings (2-7)
28. Seattle Seahawks (3-6)
29. Cleveland Browns (3-6)
30. Carolina Panthers (2-7)
31. St. Louis Rams (2-7)
32. Indianapolis Colts (0-10)
