NFL Week 11 Picks: Predicting Teams Guaranteed to Win in Blowout Fashion

Andrea HangstNov 16, 2011

Two teams are primed to not only win, but win big, blowing out their respective opponents in Week 11.

The New England Patriots host the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, and Kansas City has little chance to emerge with a victory and likely won't even score many points.

Kansas City lost last week to a Denver Broncos squad that only threw the ball eight times; this week, their defense will see far more passes thrown, with the Tom Brady-led Patriots offense being one of the most efficient and effective in the NFL.

At the same time, the Chiefs offense will be without starting quarterback Matt Cassel, with backup Tyler Palko taking over the duties for the foreseeable future.

This means that the team's already struggling offense has taken yet another hit. Regardless of which Patriots defense shows up on Monday, Kansas City won't have much luck scoring points of their own while New England scores at will.

While scoring at will isn't generally one of the New York Jets' strengths, it certainly isn't for the Denver Broncos. When the two teams meet on Thursday night that top-three Jets defense is going to completely stifle what little offense Denver can muster.

The Jets can produce on offense, to be sure, being on the winning end of three blowouts already this season, and they're talented enough to dominate the Broncos 19th-ranked defense.

This is a lopsided matchup; the Tim Tebow read option offense won't work against a good team, and Denver will end their night exposed and demoralized yet again. The Jets look primed to put up at least 27 and as many as 40 points in Week 11, while holding the Broncos to 10 or fewer of their own.
