NFL Week 11 Predictions: Projecting the Week's Worst QBs

Zach KruseNov 16, 2011

In Week 11 of the NFL season, the following five quarterbacks could struggle the most:

Rex Grossman, Redskins

Grossman returned to the Redskins' starting lineup in Week 10 and promptly threw two more interceptions, which gives him 11 picks in six starts this season.

This week, the NFL's sixth-ranked defense against opposing quarterbacks comes to Washington in the Dallas Cowboys. You can never really estimate what might happen in a rivalry game like this, but I'd expect some ugly numbers from Grossman against this defense.

Andy Dalton, Bengals

Dalton wasn't terrible (170 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs) against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Bengals' 24-17 loss last week. However, you find his name on this list for a couple of reasons.

For one, the Baltimore Ravens come into this game as the No. 1 fantasy defense against opposing quarterbacks this season. However, to make matters worse, Dalton could also be without top option A.J. Green (knee) this weekend. If that's the case, he could really struggle to score points against the Ravens.

Even before being injured, Bradford was suffering through a tough season both in the win column and the stat book. It's worth considering that, in each of his seven starts in 2011, Bradford has had at least one turnover.

This week, he'll face the Seahawks, where Pete Carroll has built a respected defense in his second year. Bradford could be in for another frustrating week.

Colt McCoy, Browns

McCoy has turned into a turnover machine of late. The Browns quarterback is averaging two giveaways a game in his past four games.

Like Bradford, McCoy has turned it over in every game this season. Part of that problem is likely the complete lack of playmakers around him. With no playmaking receivers or running backs currently available, McCoy has had to force a lot of things for the Browns offense.

I wouldn't expect things to change much against the Jaguars defense this week.

Tyler Palko, Chiefs

We really have no idea what we're getting in Palko, and that uncertainty is why he finds his name on this list.

The Kansas City quarterback doesn't get any leeway in his first NFL start with the Chiefs having to make the trip to New England to take on the Patriots on Monday Night Football. If New England's defense plays as well as they did against the Jets last Sunday, Palko could really struggle.
