DeSean Jackson Damaging Eagles with Constant Whining
The Philadelphia Eagles hardly need another issue in a season that has thus far been a disaster. Enter DeSean Jackson to foul things up a little more.
NBC Sports reports DeSean Jackson is confused at the moment. You see, he has no idea how he is getting so much flack for missing a mandated team meeting.
He claims that he did not miss the meeting but was merely late. He also goes a long way in expressing his concern that other players have been treated a great deal differently—both in reprimands and in financial terms.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He tells Michael Irvin of the NFL Network the following:
"Honestly, I’ve never seen coach [Andy] Reid do anything like that. I’ve never seen him bench anybody for missing a meeting.
"
There you go. The buck that everyone has been talking about has been passed from in front of Jackson to Reid. You see, it's not his fault he was late, it's Reid's for treating him differently.
Forget whether or not that claim has any merit, the fact that Jackson claims he is being treated differently from a financial standpoint is what should make the Eagles worry.
Irvin has a write up on NFL.com. In it he asserts the following:
"The fact that the team spent so aggressively in building the 'Dream Team’ clearly has weighed on DeSean. DeSean revealed that he hasn’t been able to be his fun-loving self this season because of the distractions over his contract. Now, we’re not talking a T.O. situation here, but he sees the guys around him being taken care of, and he believes he’s put in the work and it should be his turn.
"
So, Jackson can't be his fun-loving self under the current contract he agreed to play under. If he wants a raise, showing up late for work and throwing the coach and players under the bus is not the way to get it.
I don't feel bad for Jackson, simply because he dosn't deserve our sympathy. As the NBC Sports asserts, the Eagles really only spent money on Michael Vick's contract and Nnamdi Asomugha.
Jackson is delusional, and what's worse, he's hurting his team. That's the only thing that matters.
