NFL Week 11 Picks: Nail-Biters That Will Go Down to the Wire

Ryan RudnanskyNov 16, 2011

There's nothing like a nail-biter in the National Football League.

The touchdowns are bigger, the hits are more ferocious and the fans get more rowdy.

There are three matchups in particular in Week 11 of the NFL season that will go down to the wire, leaving teams wide-eyed and paranoid about the outcome of the game.

Here are three nail-biters that will go down to the wire, with predictions.

3. Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams

Both the Rams and Seahawks are bottom-feeders in the league, but the Rams have won two of their last three games (including against the New Orleans Saints) and the Seahawks just beat the Baltimore Ravens.

Both teams don't have electric offenses, but they do have some playmakers and playing against a division rival always seems to spark things up.

This won't be one of the most entertaining games, but it should definitely be close.

2. Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons

The Titans are coming off a blowout win of the Carolina Panthers and the Falcons have been better since losing three of their first five games.

Both teams are in the playoff hunt and the Titans are hoping to capitalize after Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub's potential season-ending injury in Week 10.

This game is going to be played in the Georgia Dome so it's undoubtedly going to be loud.

Get ready for some fireworks.

1. Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

Up until last week I respected the Bengals, but I didn't think they were in the same league as the Ravens.

Now, after the Bengals played the Pittsburgh Steelers tight and the Ravens lost to, gasp, the Seahawks, it's very likely that this game will go down to the wire.

Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton and rookie receiver A.J. Green still have some growing to do, but they've already shown they're not scared of any team.

Both teams have top defenses and the Ravens offense has been struggling.

Early in the season, I would have passed over this matchup.

Now I can't wait to watch.
