NFL Power Rankings: 3 Teams That Will Be Doomed by Key Injuries
There's nothing like being in the playoff picture and seeing your starting quarterback get injured.
If you don't have a top backup, it can be even more demoralizing.
Those two lines should have instantly made you think "Philadelphia Eagles."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Eagles are one of three teams mathematically in the playoff hunt who are now doomed because of key injuries.
3. Houston Texans (7-3)
How do you ruin everything that you've accomplished up to this point?
Take out starting quarterback Matt Schaub and insert...wait for it...Matt Leinart.
Yes, Leinart is still in the NFL, and after current Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stepped on Schaub's foot on the bottom of a pileup, Schaub could be out for the season.
Leinart's that No. 10 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft who has been a disappointment ever since.
The Tennessee Titans are still within striking distance of the Texans in the AFC South and they could easily overtake the Texans now.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (3-6)
Despite being 3-6, the Eagles are still just three games out of the wild-card picture in the NFC.
Unfortunately for them, starting quarterback Michael Vick played with two broken ribs in their 21-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and now he's being listed as "questionable" against the NFC East-leading New York Giants in Week 11.
Even if Vick plays against the Giants, he's not going to be his usual self and the Eagles traded top backup Kevin Kolb to, yes, the Cardinals in the offseason.
Good luck, Philly.
You're going to need it.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (3-6)
The Chiefs were a bad team regardless, losing their last two games against the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos, but the fact of the matter is they are just one game behind the Oakland Raiders for the division.
However, now starting quarterback Matt Cassel injured his throwing hand and it could be bad enough that it will end his season.
Already without top running back Jamaal Charles, it's safe to say the Chiefs won't make the playoffs with Tyler Palko and rookie Ricky Stanzi.
