Week 11 Waiver Wire: Roy Helu and Others to Add
The Washington Redskins appear to have finally decided that rookie Roy Helu deserves to be their primary ball-carrier. And you are the one who will benefit from that decision.
If Helu is still available in your league, you need to pick him up. Like, right now. While the Redskins may not have a prolific offense, Helu has shown he can perform despite his limited opportunities earlier in the season. It now appears that the Nebraska product will see a lot of time in Washington's backfield.
On Sunday, head coach Mike Shanahan decided to start Ryan Torain at running back, but Helu played 31 snaps, which was eight more than Torain. Helu was on the field for every third down in the first half, then every down in the fourth quarter. He averaged 6.0 yards per touch, compared to 2.1 for Torain. Obviously, Helu has performed at a higher level.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Expect him to take the reins of Washington's offense and not look back.
The San Diego Chargers have also shifted their attention to getting one of their rookies more involved in the offense. Wide receiver Vincent Brown has had a phenomenal past two weeks, but he really broke out last Thursday against the Oakland Raiders with five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. He also had another touchdown reception called back on a questionable replay decision.
In two weeks as the starting wideout opposite Vincent Jackson, Brown has nine catches for 177 yards and a score. The San Diego State product has hands, athleticism, is quick and has the full confidence of quarterback Philip Rivers. With the Chargers struggling offensively, Brown should see a lot action over the final few weeks of the season. Snag him if he's available.
The Baltimore Ravens have struggled offensively this season, but like Brown and Helu, a player has emerged for them who could help turn things around. Tight end Ed Dickson had a stellar games on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. He caught 10 passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns in the team's 22-17 loss.
Dickson is a second-year player out of Oregon, and while he doesn't have big-time upside, he has decent hands and some athleticism. Given how badly quarterback Joe Flacco has struggled this season, Dickson's emergence could mean very positive things for the Ravens. The big tight end could give Flacco a safety valve, and that could end up meaning big things for your fantasy team if you grab him.
All three of the guys mentioned above should be available and could definitely help your fantasy team over the final stretch of the season.
