Comments
You could make a case for the Steelers being ahead of the Saints, as Pittsburgh's win in Cincinnati was more impressive in my mind than New Orleans' escape in overtime.
You won't hear any arguments from me about the Bears at No. 5. They've won four straight games and now have an offense that can compliment their defense. Chicago has to be a scary team for many in the NFC.
While I understand some of the forward-looking with the Texans, do they really belong at No. 9 after winning their seventh game on Sunday?
11-20
11. Bengals (6-3)
12. Cowboys (5-4)
13. Falcons (5-4)
14. Jets (5-4)
15. Titans (5-4)
16. Raiders (5-4)
17. Bills (5-4)
18. Chargers (5-4)
19. Broncos (4-5)
20. Buccaneers (4-5)
Comments
After the 6-3 Bengals, you could really sort the next seven teams in any order. The Cowboys have won two straight, so they stand on top of the 5-4 teams. The Raiders might have a case in that mess to be higher.
The Broncos may not have taken the aerial route, but look who has crept into the top 20! Tim Tebow is 3-1 as a starter and has Denver in the race for the AFC West.
The Buccaneers' 2011 season is sinking fast.
21-32
21. Chiefs (4-5)
22. Eagles (3-6)
23. Cardinals (3-6)
24. Seahawks (3-6)
25. Jaguars (3-6)
26. Redskins (3-6)
27. Vikings (2-7)
28. Browns (3-6)
29. Dolphins (2-7)
30. Rams (2-7)
31. Panthers (2-7)
32. Colts (0-10)
Comments
The first two teams on this list have blown away great opportunities. After beating the Chargers to get to 4-3 and first place in the AFC West, the Chiefs have lost two games (Dolphins, Broncos) they had no business losing. The Eagles are in the same boat. They've had opportunities all season to right the ship. Where is the improvement? Where is any semblance of consistency?
Speaking of the Eagles, they need to be below the Cardinals, who have an equal record but came back to beat the Eagles in Philly.
After Monday night's 45-7 drubbing at the hands of the Packers, the Vikings should probably sit among the bottom four.
