There may be no better rivalry in any sport on earth than the one between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks, and there is no better way to officially kick off the college basketball season than by watching this feud continue.
This is the first of the marquee matchups this season, and there is no more interesting matchup in all of college basketball.
It will be good to see the Kansas and Kentucky colors on a basketball court again, and you better believe that college hoops will grow in viewership with no NBA as well.

Betting Line: Over/Under-147, Spread: Kentucky -6.5
While the over/under will be close, I think it's early enough in the season for both teams to exploit the still learning defenses. Both teams are gifted offensively, but it has yet to be seen how well each can play defensively. This game has back and forth written all over it, and I would stay away from the spread if possible.

Key Matchup: Thomas Robinson (KAN) vs. Anthony Davis (KEN)
It will be interesting to see if these two go against each other at any point during the game, because I don’t think either of them could stop the other defensively. These players are the offensive go-to men for their teams, but it’s their ability to rebound that separates them from others at the forward positions. If they play against each other, the battle for rebounds will be one to look out for.
Prediction: Kentucky 87, Kansas 79
