NFL Power Rankings Week 11: Teams at the Top with No Chance of Falling off

The NFC is dominant this year and a number of the teams in that conference are at the very top of the power rankings.

These young, up-and-coming teams are hungry to get in the playoffs and prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

It doesn’t seem like anyone will be dragging them down over the final six weeks of the season and these teams are all but shoe-ins at this point to make the postseason.

Let’s take a look.

Green Bay Packers

This team has a legitimate shot to have an undefeated regular season.

Their biggest challenges come against the fast fading Detroit Lions, the enigmatic New York Giants and the feisty Chicago Bears.

There are no powerhouses like the Patriots, Steelers, 49ers or Saints to slow them down the rest of the way and this favorable schedule means that they will retain the No. 1 spot in the power rankings unless they happen to lose and this next team continues their dominant run.

San Francisco 49ers

Who would have predicted the impact that a coach would have on this team that was consistently at the bottom of the power rankings over the past decade.

Jim Harbaugh is an excellent leader and has gotten a number of players on this team performing at a high level and the most important part is they now exude confidence.

They feel they can win each and every time they step on the field and they are doing exactly that.

They have tough games against the Ravens and Steelers coming up but winning at least one of them will prove this team belongs in the very top reaches of the rankings.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints have heart. They pulled out an overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons last week and proved they can win close games as well as blow teams out.

They disappointed last year in the playoffs after winning the Super Bowl and are looking to redeem themselves with a solid season and promising playoff run.
