Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Looking Ahead to the Best Matchups

Chris TrapassoNov 14, 2011

The best fantasy GM's are the ones who will start a player simply based on the matchup.

It takes courage, and it can sometimes backfire, but sometimes, you've just got to play the numbers.

Here are the best matchups for Week 11.

Marshawn Lynch vs. St. Louis Rams

Beast Mode has been resurrected. Lynch has averaged 122 yards on the ground in his last two games and has caught six passes for 66 yards.

The Rams are allowing nearly 151 rushing yards a contest, and playing in a Dome always helps, right?

This isn't the most compelling game on the schedule, but for fantasy-wise, Lynch is a RB. No. 1 start in Week 11.

Victor Cruz vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Cruz has been the most steady Giants wide receiver this season, and he's had six or more catches in the last three games.

With Hakeem Nicks back and Mario Manningham showing signs of life, Cruz should feast on the Eagles secondary across the middle and down the field.

He has received 11 targets in the last two games, and in this critical divisional game, you'd better believe Cruz will see the football often, especially with his fabulous run-after-the-catch ability.

Did you see how the Cardinals abused Philadelphia's defensive backfield on Sunday?

Dallas Cowboys Defense vs. Washington Redskins

In their last meeting, the Cowboys needed heroics from Tony Romo to pull off the victory. Doesn't seem like that will be the case this weekend. The Dallas defense has 23 sacks and 13 interceptions on the season.

Rex Grossman or John Beck.

It won't matter.

Rob Ryan will devise a confusing game plan that'll shut down an already inept Redskins offensive attack. Possibility of huge points from the Dallas defense this week.
