Giving Back: Kasey Kahne An Advocate In His Own Community

We all know drivers and crews and members of NASCAR community all believe in giving back. In a time of year when giving should be better than receiving, I am going to each week look at two charity organizations within NASCAR that do just that—give back.

Mission Statement:The Kasey Kahne Foundation aspires to provide continuous support to programs which clearly demonstrate that funds received will produce tangible, ongoing, positive results. Providing hope and encouraging creativity, dreams and imagination are a focal point as the Foundation strives to improve the quality of life for those less fortunate.

Kasey Kahne skyrocketed into NASCAR premier series in 2004, driving for Ray Evernham. Winning Rookie of The Year honors and competing for wins each week, propelling this driver as one of NASCAR's brightest future stars. 

But it is what Kahne is doing away from the track that's truly inspiring. His foundation The Kasey Kahne Foundation works to give back to many organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Lilly School, The Red Cross, and Victory Junction Gang Camps.

Holding online auctions and fundraisers where the proceeds are distributed to the above charities.

In 2006, Kahne was named to the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. Representing NASCAR and the sports world, encouraging all of us to get involved and give back to our own communities.

Setting an example for not only the fans of NASCAR but for everyone, that it's important to give back even in the small ways.

As a member of this prestigious group Kahne has done public service announcements encouraging all of us to give back and help better our own communities in various different ways.

Participating in track walks that benefit his foundation and many other drivers and their foundations.Allows him to not only help out fellow drivers but really get to be with the fans.

Kahne's has used his star power in the sport to give back to those less fortunate.  The foundation gives back to those in community that are ill and helps the families that need a helping hand. His foundation focuses on communities in Washington State, and North Carolina.

Kahne brings his success from the track into his foundation raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for many worth while organizations.
