"Hey Rex, Belichick is better than you."

As the New York Jets were heading to the locker room at MetLife Stadium last night, a spectator in the stands shouted these words at head coach Rex Ryan.

Never one to shy away from controversy, or be disrespected in his own stadium, Ryan couldn't let that comment just go over his head.

The brash and outspoken coach started to reply to the fan just as he walks past the camera. His voice can easily be identified as he leaves the frame saying, "Shut the f*** up."

Do we expect anything less from Rex? Of course not.

Will Jets fans adore him for it? You bet they will.

Is everyone else rolling around laughing? I certainly am.

Belichick reportedly had some of his own choice words after the game out of excitement for his team's win.

It is only natural that Rex would have some too in a 37-16 drubbing.

The Jets not only lost a share of first place in the division, but they were swept for the year by New England.

With a number of teams in the AFC North as well as the AFC East clamoring for playoff spots, the Jets have to be careful not to fall too far behind.

Realistically speaking, Gang Green needs to turn their sights to a wild card berth. New England has one of the weakest schedules in all of football down the stretch that includes games against the Colts, Dolphins and Redskins—three teams with a combined five wins.

Rex has reason to be angry.

Although Belichick is 2-0 against Rex this season, it was the Jets who ousted New England from the playoffs last year.

If these two meet in the postseason again this year there is guaranteed to be more fireworks like this.
