College Football Rankings: Ranking All 120 FBS Teams Heading into Week 13

After another crazy week of college football, the national title picture and conference races are becoming more clear and more confusing all at the same time.

On the national scene, it appears it would take an awful lot for LSU and Alabama to not match up in the BCS title game. With Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oklahoma and Clemson all losing, an all SEC matchup is becoming a reality.

As we head into the final couple weeks of football, here is a look at the power rankings after 12 weeks of football. 

No. 120: Florida Atlantic

Record: 0-10

Next Game: UAB

Quick Note: December 4th cannot get here quick enough for Florida Atlantic. 

No. 119: New Mexico

Record: 1-10

Next Game: at Boise State

Quick Note: The good news for New Mexico is their is only one game left, the bad news is they play Boise State. 

No. 118: Akron

Record: 1-10

Next Game: at Western Michigan

Quick Note: Like some of the other teams this high up on the list, Akron is just hoping for this season to be over. 

No. 117: Indiana

Record: 1-10

Next Game: Purdue

Quick Note: With one more loss, the Hoosiers will go through the Big 10 schedule without a win. 

No. 116: Middle Tennessee

Record: 2-8

Next Game: FIU

Quick Note: With their loss streak now at four, Middle Tennessee must find a way to put up points as their offense continues to struggle. 

No. 115: Tulane

Record: 2-10

Next Game: at Hawaii

Quick Note: The 2-1 start to the year is a distant memory for Tulane fans. 

No. 114: Minnesota

Record: 2-9

Next Game: Illinois

Quick Note: Unlike Indiana, Minnesota has won a conference game but just like the Hoosiers, they need a ton of work.

Quick Note: With the season down to two games for the Rebels, their offense continues to struggle and will continue to do so against San Diego State.

Quick Note: Memphis will have their season come to an end against an angry and frustrated Southern Miss team. This one could get ugly.

Quick Note: Another season cannot come to an end quick enough for Turner Gill.

Quick Note: This past week the Vandals pushed Utah State to OT but feel short. This week will be much more difficult.

Quick Note: Ole Miss will need a much better performance all around if they hope to have a shot at winning the Egg Bowl. 

No. 108: Colorado

Record: 2-10

Next Game: at Utah

Quick Note: With their recent loss to UCLA, Colorado can still play spoiler against Utah.

Quick Note: After seven straight losses, this first season under Randy Edsall cannot come to an end quick enough. 

No. 106: Troy

Next Game: at Western Kentucky

Quick Note: While Troy did defeat Florida Atlantic it was only their third win this year and Western Kentucky will provide more of a challenge. 

No. 105: Buffalo

Next Game: Bowling Green

Quick Note: Buffalo's offense exploded this past week and earned them a victory. Two wins to end the year would be a great way for Buffalo to go out.

Quick Note: Despite dropping a game to FIU this past week, UL Monroe should be able to end the year strong with a game against Florida Atlantic. 

No. 103: UAB

Quick Note: UAB has now won two straight and stunned Southern Miss this past week. One more win would be a great way to end the year. 

No. 102: Central Michigan

Record: 3-9

Next Game: NA

Quick Note: Central Michigan wrapped up their season this past week with a loss to Toledo. In the offseason, the Chips must find a way to get their offseason jump started. 

No. 101: Duke

Record: 3-8

Next Game: at North Carolina

Quick Note: After a three game win streak in the middle of the year, Duke has come crashing back to earth with six straight losses. 

No. 100: Arizona

Record: 3-8

Next Game: UL Lafayette

Quick Note: Despite having UL Lafayette left on the schedule, Arizona focused in and stunned Arizona State to win their annual rivalry game. 

No. 99: Boston College

Record: 3-8

Next Game: at Miami

Quick Note: Boston College kept things interesting this past week at South Bend but fell short and stay on the road to take on Miami. 

No. 98: Colorado State

Record: 3-7

Next Game: Air Force

Quick Note: A 3-1 start has evaporated for Colorado State as they have now lost six straight. 

No. 97: New Mexico State

Record: 4-7

Next Game: at Louisiana Tech

Quick Note: New Mexico State struggled both offensively and defensively and looked completely overmatched by BYU.

No. 96: Army

Record: 3-8

Next Game: Navy

Quick Note: While another bowl game is out of the question, Army does not need any additional motivation with Navy at the end of their schedule. 

No. 95: Bowling Green

Record: 4-7

Next Game: at Buffalo

Quick Note: At 4-4 Bowling Green appeared to be going bowling but three straight losses has crushed that dream. 

No. 94: Oregon State

Record: 3-8

Next Game: at Oregon

Quick Note: As if they need motivation for the Civil War, a win will keep their rival out of the Pac-12 title game. 

No. 93: UCF

Record: 4-7

Next Game: UTEP

Quick Note: Another team to suffer three straight losses after going 4-4 is UCF and their bowl dreams are gone as well. 

No. 92: Navy

Record: 4-7

Next Game: Army

Quick Note: While a bowl game is out of the question, a game against Navy will certainly not go unnoticed. 

No. 91: Miami (Ohio)

Record: 4-7

Next Game: at Ohio 

Quick Note: After it appeared that the Redhawks were going to make a late season push for a bowl game, they have lost two straight and are out of contention. 

No. 90: North Texas

Record: 4-7

Next Game: Middle Tennessee

Quick Note: Consistent defensive performances plagued the Mean Green all year and will be a point of focus in the offseason. 

No. 89: Rice

Record: 4-7

Next Game: at SMU

Quick Note: While their win over Tulane was good, Rice will need much more from their offense to have a chance of winning on the road against SMU. 

No. 88: Connecticut

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Rutgers

Quick Note: After winning the Big East last year, it appears the Huskies will not be repeating as champions. 

No. 87: San Jose State

Next Game: at Fresno State

Quick Note: San Jose State brought their three game losing streak to an end with a win over Navy. They finish up the year at Fresno State.

Quick Note: With two games remaining, Pat Hill has a chance to salvage this season and set the tempo for the offseason. 

No. 85: Kent State

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at Temple

Quick Note: Once dead in the water, Kent State has won four straight and are a win away from being bowl eligible. 

No. 84: Washington State

Record: 4-7

Next Game: at Washington 

Quick Note: Their would be no better way for the Cougars to end the season then with a win over Washington for the Apple Cup. 

No. 83: East Carolina

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at Marshall

Quick Note: Only thing standing between East Carolina and a bowl birth is a road game against Marshall. 

No. 82: Kentucky

Record: 4-7

Next Game: Tennessee

Quick Note: Kentucky gave Georgia all they could handle this past week but ultimately their offense could not keep them in the game. 

No. 81: UTEP

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at UCF

Quick Note: UTEP is coming off a huge blowout loss and will need to do something about their defense if they hope to take out UCF. 

No. 80: South Florida

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Louisville

Quick Note: The season hit a new low this past week as the Bulls lost to Miami 6-3 which drops them to 5-5 overall. 

No. 79: Hawaii

Record: 5-6

Next Game: Tulane

Quick Note: The losing streak has reached three for Hawaii but relief should be coming when they take on Tulane. 

No. 78: Vanderbilt

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at Wake Forest

Quick Note: After falling short in overtime, Vanderbilt must find a way to rebound and beat Wake Forest to become bowl eligible. 

No. 77: Marshall

Record: 5-6

Next Game: East Carolina

Quick Note: Both Marshall and East Carolina are a win away from being bowl eligible and they will battle it out for that spot. 

No. 76: Western Michigan

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Akron

Quick Note: Western Michigan got things straightened out with their defense and were able to secure a 24-21 win over Miami Ohio.

No. 75: Pittsburgh

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at West Virginia

Quick Note: As is with most Big East teams, the Panthers are wildly inconsistent and have a date with the Mountaineers in the Backyard Brawl. 

No. 74: Eastern Michigan

Quick Note: Ron English should be commended for the amazing job he has done turning around this program and getting them to six wins.

Quick Note: Despite losing to Houston 37-7, the Mustangs can be somewhat happy with their defensive performance. 

No. 72: Syracuse

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Cincinnati

Quick Note: After a huge win over West Virginia four weeks ago, Syracuse has lost three straight and are sinking fast. 

No. 71: Mississippi State

Record: 5-6

Next Game: Ole Miss

Quick Note: What better way for Mississippi State to become bowl eligible then with a win over rival Ole Miss. 

No. 70: Purdue

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at Indiana

Quick Note: Purdue should have no issues picking up win No. 6 this week when they take on the Hoosiers. 

No. 69: Texas Tech

Record: 5-6

Next Game: Baylor

Quick Note: When Texas Tech jumped out to a 5-2 record a bowl seemed like a certainty but after four straight losses, the Red Raiders need to beat Baylor to become bowl eligible. 

No. 68: Tennessee

Record: 5-6

Next Game: at Kentucky

Quick Note: With an overtime win over Vanderbilt, Tennessee has a shot at becoming bowl eligible when they travel to play Kentucky. 

No. 67: Utah State

Record: 5-5 

Next Game: Nevada

Quick Note:Utah State has had such an up and down year but could still find themselves in a bowl game with a win over Nevada. 

No. 66: Western Kentucky

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Troy

Quick Note: While the offense has remained inconsistent, Western Kentucky is still finding ways to win. 

No. 65: Northwestern

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Michigan State

Quick Note: With four straight wins, the Wildcats have bounced back and are not going to a bowl game this year. 

No. 64: Washington

Record: 6-5 

Next Game: Washington State

Quick Note: Three weeks ago the Huskies were 6-2 but ran into the wall when facing Oregon and USC and then had a huge letdown against Oregon State. 

No. 63: San Diego State

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at UNLV

Quick Note: After their loss to TCU, you had to expect Boise State would take it out on the Aztecs and they did. 

No. 62: Illinois

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at Minnesota

Quick Note: Things have gone south for the Illini as their 6-0 start has been ruined by a five game losing streak. 

No. 61: Wake Forest

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Vanderbilt

Quick Note: With their win over Maryland, the Demon Deacons end their three game losing streak and have become bowl eligible. 

No. 60: North Carolina

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Duke

Quick Note: With only one win over the past five games, this season is coming to a rough end for the Tar Heels. Only way it could get worse is with a loss to Duke. 

No. 59: Louisville

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at South Florida

Quick Note: With four out of five games resulting in a victory, the Cardinals have gotten their season turned around. 

No. 58: Ball State

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Toledo

Quick Note: While the offense continues to roll, Ball State is struggling to see improvement on the defensive side of the ball. 

No. 57: NC State

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Maryland

Quick Note: NC State did a great job of catching Clemson off guard and picked up their biggest win of the season. 

No. 56: Cal

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at Arizona State

Quick Note: While Cal gave Stanford a run for their money, they came up short and now face a Arizona State team that has plenty on the line. 

No. 55: Air Force

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at Colorado State

Quick Note: After all three service teams made it to a bowl game last year, Air Force will be the only school to make it back this year. 

No. 54: Louisiana Tech

Record: 7-4

Next Game: New Mexico State

Quick Note: Despite their 1-4 start, the Bulldogs have rattled off six straight wins and should be able to finish strong as they play New Mexico State. 

No. 53: UL Lafayette

Record: 8-3

Next Game: at Arizona

Quick Note: UL Lafayette had a big chance against Arkansas State but fell short. They have another chance to win a big game as they head to Arizona. 

No. 52: Ohio State

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at Michigan

Quick Note: After a disappointing season, the Buckeyes can give their fans something to smile about by beating Michigan at the Big House. 

No. 51: Nevada

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Utah State

Quick Note: Nevada's five game winning streak came to an end this week against Louisiana Tech. They should be able to recover against the Aggies. 

No. 50: Miami

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Boston College

Quick Note: The up and down season of the Hurricanes continues as they are able to win a defensive struggle to go to 6-5 on the year. 

No. 49: UCLA

Record: 6-5

Next Game: at USC

Quick Note: With a game at Southern Cal, the Bruins have to hope for a Utah loss because a win over the Trojans does not seem likely. 

No. 48: Wyoming

Record: 7-3

Next Game: at Boise State

Quick Note: After two straight wins, the Cowboys have to now head on the road to take on Boise State. 

No. 47: Florida

Next Game: Florida State

Quick Note: Despite winning this past week, the Gators were underwhelming in victory as they let Furman put up 32 points at the Swamp.

Quick Note: This week will mark the last Big 12 conference game that the Aggies will be a part of. 

No. 45: Missouri

Quick Note: After beating Texas two weeks ago, Missouri followed it up with a win over Texas Tech to become bowl eligible.

Next Game: at Middle Tennessee

Quick Note: With a win over Middle Tennessee, FIU can eclipse their record from last year and reach eight wins. 

No. 43: Toledo

Record: 7-4

Next Game: at Ball State

Quick Note: In order to keep the pressure on Northern Illinois, Toledo needs to earn a victory over Ball State. 

No. 42: Temple

Record: 7-4

Next Game: Kent State

Quick Note: With Kent State left on the schedule, no reason Temple cannot end the year at 8-4 and wind up in a decent bowl game. 

No. 41: Utah

Record: 7-4

Next Game: Colorado

Quick Note: Who would have thought that after going 0-4 in conference, the Utah still have a chance to win the Pac-12 South in the final week of the year. 

No. 40: Arizona State

Record: 6-5

Next Game: Cal

Quick Note: With three straight losses, the Sun Devils have lost control of the Pac-12 South and now need help to win the division. 

No. 39: Iowa

Record: 7-4

Next Game: at Nebraska

Quick Note: To end the regular season, Iowa will get a good sense of how good they are as the head on the road and play Nebraska in Lincoln. 

No. 38: Ohio

Record: 8-3

Next Game: Miami (Ohio)

Quick Note: The formula for Ohio is simple, win and they are in the MAC title game. 

No. 37: Northern Illinois

Record: 8-3

Next Game: Eastern Michigan

Quick Note: On the other side of the MAC, a win and Northern Illinois is in to the MAC title game as well. 

No. 36: BYU

Next Game: at Hawaii

Quick Note: BYU has won the past two weeks by the score of 42-7 and while they should beat Hawaii, it should be a bit more interesting. 

No. 35: Texas

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Texas A&M

Quick Note: With a 6-2 record, Texas has dropped two very winnable games and must get things back on track on the offensive side of the ball if they hope to compete with the Aggies. 

No. 34: Arkansas State

Record: 9-2

Next Game: Troy

Quick Note: Arkansas State will look to wrap up a great regular season against Troy. With their only losses being to Illinois and Virginia Tech, the Red Wolves have done a great job. 

No. 33: Florida State

Record: 7-4

Quick Note: After high preseason expectations, the Seminoles have dropped their fourth game of the year and now take on the Gators to end the regular season. 

No. 32: Cincinnati

Record: 7-3

Next Game: at Syracuse

Quick Note: After starting out perfect in the Big East, Cincinnati has now dropped two straight and head to Syracuse to try and stop their slide. 

No. 31: Iowa State

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Oklahoma

Quick Note: Iowa State provided the nation with the upset of this past weekend as they ended Oklahoma State's chance at a national title. It will be interesting to see what they can do against the Sooners this week. 

No. 30: Rutgers

Quick Note: A win in their last game will help keep them in contention for the Big East title. 

No. 29: Southern Miss

Record: 9-2

Next Game: Memphis

Quick Note: Southern Miss couldn't avoid the craziness of last week as they lost to UAB. Despite the loss, Southern Miss will still be in the Conference USA title game. 

No. 28: Auburn

Record: 7-4

Next Game: Alabama

Quick Note: Despite some of the downfalls this year, all could be made right with the Tigers fanbase if they can take down Alabama. 

No. 27: Tulsa

Record: 8-3

Next Game: Houston

Quick Note: After seven straight wins, Tulsa's biggest test will be against undefeated Houston. 

No. 26: West Virginia

Record: 7-3

Next Game: Pitt

Quick Note: With the current mess that is the Big East, West Virginia has games against Pitt and South Florida before a conference champ is crowned. 

No. 25: Virginia

Next Game: Virginia Tech

Quick Note: Not many would have thought this but a win over Virginia Tech will put the Cavaliers into the ACC championship. 

No. 24: Georgia Tech

Quick Note: After a 6-0 start, the Yellow Jackets have gone 2-3 and are going up a Georgia team that has won nine straight. 

No. 23: Notre Dame

Quick Note: After an up and down season for the Irish, their final test will come this week against Stanford. 

No. 22: Nebraska

Record: 8-3

Next Game: Iowa

Quick Note: Nebraska failed to show up and play this past week against Michigan and will need a much better effort to close the season against Iowa.

No. 21: Baylor

Record: 7-3

Next Game: Texas Tech

Quick Note: Baylor added to a crazy Saturday this past week by knocking off Oklahoma. With that win, Baylor has a chance at a 10 win season.

No. 20: Michigan

Record: 9-2

Next Game: Ohio State

Quick Note: After an impressive win over Nebraska, Michigan can make themselves look really attractive to the BCS if they can beat Ohio State.

No. 19: Penn State

Record: 9-2

Next Game: at Wisconsin

Quick Note: Just like Wisconsin, a win in the season's final game will clinch them a spot in the Big 10 title game. 

No. 18: TCU

Record: 9-2

Next Game: UNLV

Quick Note: TCU did a great job of avoiding a letdown against Colorado State. UNLV should not be much of a challenge for them either. 

No. 17: Kansas State

Next Game: Iowa State

Quick Note: While Kansas State is having a great year, they have unfortunately lost to both Oklahoma schools which will keep their BCS hopes on hold.

Quick Note: Simply put, winner heads to the Big 10 title game when Wisconsin matches up against Penn State.

Quick Note: After losing Stephen Garcia midway through the year, South Carolina will get a test to end the year to see how far they have truly come.

Quick Note: While it may not have been pretty, the Bulldogs won their ninth straight and after this week, they will head to the SEC title game.

Quick Note: With all of the craziness that has gone on over the past two weeks, Boise State has to be kicking themselves.

Quick Note: With a spot in the ACC title game wrapped up, Clemson overlooked NC State and got caught.

Quick Note: With a win over Oregon, USC showed that they may be on their path back to competing for national titles next year.

Quick Note: With the opportunity to maybe sneak back into the title race, Oklahoma slipped up against Baylor and suffered their second loss.

Quick Note: With Oregon's loss, Stanford can hope for an Oregon State win to punch their ticket to the Pac-12 title game.

Next Game: Oregon State

Quick Note: After a huge letdown at home, Oregon must find a way to refocus and take care of Oregon State to secure their spot in the Pac-12 title game. 

No. 6: Houston

Record: 11-0

Next Game: at Tulsa

Quick Note: After taking down SMU, Houston looks to cap off their perfect regular season on the road against Tulsa. 

No. 5: Oklahoma State

Record: 10-1

Next Game: Oklahoma 

Quick Note: With a chance to go to the national title game, Oklahoma State slipped on the road and made way for Alabama.

No. 4: Virginia Tech

Record: 10-1

Quick Note: Throughout the year, Virginia Tech has been fairly consistent and probably the quietest one-loss team.

Quick Note: With a shot at LSU to end the year, Arkansas has an opportunity to shake things up with a win.

Quick Note: Despite having no chance to win the SEC title, it appears that only Auburn can stand in the way of Alabama going back up against LSU for the national title.
