Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups: 3 Players to Spark You to Victory

Ryan RudnanskyNov 14, 2011

Here we are, headed into Week 11 of the NFL season and you can still save your team.

For those of you holding on for dear life as the season goes down to the wire, there is still hope out there on the waiver wire.

Here are three players coming off big Week 10 performances that will have you running down the street screaming in celebration by the end of Week 11.

3. Laurent Robinson, WR, Dallas Cowboys

There are two players on this list that I didn't believe in before. Laurent Robinson is one of them.

Heading into this season, Robinson was a disappointment throughout his career. There's no other way to put it.

However, in the last three weeks, Robinson has been fantasy gold. He went for 103 yards and a TD against the Philadelphia Eagles, 32 yards and a TD against the Seattle Seahawks and 73 yards and two TDs against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.

In short, quarterback Tony Romo likes Robinson. What's more, he's getting him involved in the end zone, which is key.

2. Carson Palmer, QB, Oakland Raiders

I don't like Palmer as the savior of the Raiders, given his propensity to turn the ball over (eight turnovers in three games). However, in terms of fantasy, he puts up a good amount of points.

After throwing for 332 yards and three touchdowns against the Denver Broncos in Week 9, Palmer went on to throw for 299 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the San Diego Chargers.

Running back Darren McFadden's impending return will hurt Palmer's numbers. However, he still faces a forgiving Minnesota Vikings secondary in Week 11.

1. Denarius Moore, WR, Oakland Raiders

Palmer clearly is developing a rapport with Denarius Moore. He targeted the receiver on seven occasions in Week 10, and both his touchdown passes went his way.

For the game, Moore caught five balls for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

I've liked Moore since I saw him in the preseason, exhibiting the ability to make big plays when his number is called.

After falling off a bit, Moore has stormed back with Palmer under center. He's a legit No. 3 option and could even put up No. 2 numbers down the stretch.
