Fantasy Football Week 10: Green-Ellis and More Sleepers Ready to Shine on SNF

Luis BatlleNov 13, 2011

The New England Patriots take on the New York Jets in what is expected to be a thriller of a contest at the Meadowlands on Sunday night.

Aside from Tom Brady and Mark Sanchez, there will be other players who will rise to the occasion and put up significant fantasy points in this tough Week 10 Sunday Night Football matchup.

Here are Patriots starting running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis and the three sleepers ready to shine on Sunday Night Football.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis, New England Patriots, RB

Since the first several weeks of the season, it seemed as if Patriots starting back Green-Ellis has disappeared from the scene.

Yet keep in mind, the last breakout game for Green-Ellis came against the Jets in Week 5, rushing for a whopping 136 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

There is no question that Green-Ellis has this team's number this season, as a weak Jets rushing defense could have Green-Ellis reeling in the fantasy points on Sunday night.

Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots, TE

Aaron Hernandez has finally seemed to pick it up as of late, scoring a touchdown in each of his last three games as the starting tight end for the New England Patriots.

In his last game against the Jets, he was held to just five catches and 56 yards, as the Jets are a tough defense against opposing tight ends.

Yet he may be a sleeper well worth the risk, as quarterback Tom Brady has looked his way time and time again as of late.

Plaxico Burress, New York Jets, WR

Believe it or not, Burress is certainly a sleeper in this matchup, as he has been a minimal producer for the greater part of this season.

Yet against the New England Patriots and their poor pass defense, Burress and the receiving corps should hope to have a field day on Sunday night.

Expect Burress to be a touchdown threat in the red zone throughout this contest. It was just two weeks ago that the former Giant had a whopping three touchdowns on four catches for Sanchez and the Jets.
