Kelsi Reich's Cowboy Roots Can't Withstand Power of Bills WR David Nelson's Love

Richard LangfordNov 13, 2011

Bills WR David Nelson just gave his girlfriend Kelsi Reich a gift that could cost her his job. My advice to him is that his next gift be spectacularly diamond studded and non-career threatening.

Nelson has a funny way of being romantic. He gave Reich a gift that put her on the peak of Mt. Awkward.

Reich has the highly coveted job of Cowboys cheerleader. She was busy cheering when Nelson caught a TD pass against her Cowboys.

Nelson wasted no time after catching his TD as he began a brisk 70-yard jog to Reich. Once he arrived he gave her a huge hug and the ball.

Reich was then left standing with a tainted ball from the Cowboys enemy and an embarrassed smile as the cameras, and roughly 100,000 sets of shocked eyes belonging to rabid Cowboys fans, looked on.

Tragedy was obviously narrowly averted when none of the heads of bewildered Cowboys fans exploded as they witnessed one of their prized cheerleaders heinously assaulted by the Bills receiver.

Reich must have seen her job flash before her eyes in this moment. However, love apparently trumps occupation loyalty as she returned the hug and held onto the ball.

With this touchdown reception and celebration Nelson proved that he has game not just on the football field, but also with the opposite sex.

He also proved that luck is on his side. This scene could have gotten ugly if one of two things happened. The first is that Reich could have been on the Cowboys sideline. Nelson's path to his girlfriend would have been filled with angry padded obstacles in this instance.

The second was prevented because the Cowboys don't allow their fans to bring guns to the game.
