Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Fans Will Finally See Super-Fight with Mayweather

After Manny Pacquiao defeated Juan Manuel Marquez for the second time in three fights the boxing world turns its attention to who he will fight next.

There is a case to be made for him fighting Marquez again, because despite being 2-0-1, Pacquiao could have easily lost all three fights (and Marquez thinks he did).  However, we could also see the super-fight between Pacquiao and Floyd "Money" Mayweather that fans have been craving for months.

While both are possibilities, only one makes sense: fighting Mayweather.

Marquez is already 38-years-old and in the twilight of his career. He is thinking about retiring, and while fighting a rival once again interests him, he will soon realize that there is no way he can win.

Marquez was fighting a rusty Pac-Man for the first six rounds last night, but when Pacquiao came around Marquez took a beating.  If Pacquiao were to have fought the entire fight without rust, he would have surely won in unanimous decision or knocked Marquez out.

Marquez knows that he is not as good as a full-strength Pacquiao, and he should try to avoid a fourth fight with the champion.

That leaves Pacquiao fighting Mayweather.  Mayweather saw the fight last night, and he saw just how bad Pacquiao looked.

While some people have said that Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao and that is why he would not fight without blood-testing for PEDs (something he knows Pacquiao to detest), seeing Pac-Man like that will make him think that he can beat him.

Mayweather is going to consent to Pacquiao's anti-doping tests and he will want to have this mega-fight before Pacquiao fights again.  While a bit of rust would certainly help Mayweather, that can happen once they hammer out all the details of their fight.

Mayweather is going to try to take advantage of the Pacquiao he saw last night, and fans will finally get their mega-fight.
