Pacquiao vs. Marquez Results: Marquez Got Robbed in Third Bout

If Juan Manuel Marquez was angry about the judges' decision in his first two fights with Manny Pacquiao, he should be furious over this one.

The only definitive rounds in the fight were won by Marquez. He dominated the middle of the fight, while the early and late rounds could have gone either way.

Pacquiao landed more punches (176 to 138) and somehow registered more power punches (117-100). However, I thought it was clear that Marquez was landing more solid blows. He unleashed several uppercuts that staggered Pacquiao and connected on plenty of hard right-hand counter punches.

Yet the judges scored it 114-114, 115-113 and 116-12 in favor of Pacquiao.

Marquez stormed out of the ring after hearing the decision.

"This is the second robbery of the two that we had, and I think this was even more clear than the first," Marquez said. "We won with the clearer punches. The audience protested because they saw us win again. I thought I got robbed. It happens again and again. I don't know what else I can do to win."

I agree with Marquez. I feel like Pacquiao won this fight because he has the more judge-friendly style.

When a fight is as close as this one was, the judges tend to favor the more aggressive fighter. And when these two match up, that's always going to be Pacquiao.

Marquez was obviously frustrated after the fight and he has every right to be. Looks like he's going to have to print some new shirts now.
