Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3: What Will Floyd Mayweather Think of Title Bout?
While watching one of the biggest fights in the last five years of boxing, I can’t help but think about a boxer who won’t even be in the ring.
Where did Floyd Mayweather decide to watch the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez bout?
Is he at a Vegas casino? Did he order the pay-per-view at his house? Did he have people over for a party? Or did he actually attend the fight?
Pacquiao could very well be the next opponent for Mayweather, and I would love to pick Money May’s brain during the fight. One thing is for sure: he isn’t going to be overly impressed with Pac-Man.
Mayweather’s ego is unreal and I can only imagine him nitpicking every little mistake Pacquiao makes. Unless Pac-Man gets a knockout, I’m sure Mayweather is going to have some fun at his expense. That’s his public projection to the world.
But what will he really think?
When he sees how fast and quick Pacquiao has become with his hands…will he have second thoughts? Will he be hesitant to agree on a fight? Now that Pacquiao has a vicious right hook to add to his already impressive arsenal of moves, you can imagine Mayweather being secretly intimidated.
Pacquiao is currently in the best shape of his life at the age of 32 and Mayweather may watch a dominant Pac-Man and realize he has no shot of beating him. Maybe this is the fight that ruins the dream bout every boxing fan wants so badly.
Or maybe he watched the bout and realizes that he is capable of dominating Pac-Man. Every realm of thought is in play here.
I know one thing is for sure…I wish I were a fly on the wall alongside Money May on Saturday night.
