Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings: Tim Tebow and QBs with Favorable Matchups

Nicholas GossNov 12, 2011

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow had an impressive win last week against the Oakland Raiders, proving he can be a dependable quarterback in the NFL. And in Week 10, he has a very favorable matchup and is sure to impress for your fantasy football team.

Fantasy football is all about matchups, and even if you don't want to start a struggling star, if he is playing a team that suits his style of play or he historically does well against, you have to play him.

Let's look at three quarterbacks who have the best matchups this week.

1. Joe Flacco

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is playing very well of late, and his passing game has been a major reason the Ravens are in the midst of a two-game winning streak and are on top of the AFC North division.

Against the weak Seattle Seahawks defense on Sunday, Flacco will once again have a good day leading the Ravens passing attack.

The Seahawks allow 242.4 passing yards per game, and are just 2-6 on the season. They do not have a good secondary, and Flacco will be able to carve up the Seahawks defense with ease.

Flacco has passed for 300 yards or more in each of the last two games and will do that once again against Seattle on Sunday.

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has a tremendous matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense this week.

The Bucs allow 266.5 passing yards per game and are having real troubles stopping top tier quarterbacks.

Even without all-pro receiver Andre Johnson, the Houston offense, including the passing attack, has played well.

During the Texans' current three-game winning streak Schaub has three touchdown passes and just one interception.

Against a bad pass defense in Tampa Bay, Schaub will have a great day and lead the Texans to a fourth consecutive win.

3. Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow's ability to run the ball makes him a valuable fantasy option at quarterback. The Denver Broncos leader has a very favorable matchup against a bad Kansas City Chiefs defense.

The Chiefs allow 250.5 passing yards and 120.2 rushing yards per game. Tebow will be able to gain at least 50 yards rushing and 200 yards passing this week.

With the way he threw the ball against the Oakland Raiders last week in a come from behind win, it would not be surprising to see Tebow have another multiple touchdown day versus the Chiefs.

The Broncos are still a player in the AFC West division race, and Tebow will help them keep pace with their division rivals with a big statistical day and a crucial win in Week 10.
