Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This marks the 10th time Favre has been selected to the Pro Bowl and will be his first as a Jet. Alan Feneca will make his eight consecutive trip which makes him the first guard in green & white history to be selected. Kris Jenkins will be making his fourth appearance in Honolulu but will anchor the AFC's starting defense his first time in a Jets helmet.
While all the selected players are all deserving of their spots, none are more so than Thomas Jones. Jones is in the midst of his most productive season in the NFL. Jones has all ready set new franchise records in most TDs in a season (15), most rush TDs in a season (13), and the most consecutive games scoring a TD (8). Jones also leads the AFC in yards and is 114 short with two weeks to go for a career best.
The Jets previous high for Pro Bowl players was five back in 1982, 1985, and 1998. In case any of the other selected players choose not to participate or happen to get injured the Jets will have an additional five players serving as alternates.
Those five include FB Tony Richardson, S Kerry Rhodes, OLB Calvin Pace, LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, and S Shaun Ellis.
