Pacquiao vs. Marquez Predictions: Pac-Man Will Knock Out Marquez in Third Bout
The third bout of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez saga is finally upon us and I'm expecting Pac-Man to cruise to a dominant knockout victory.
The first two fights were incredibly close, but tonight will be an entirely different story. Pacquiao, who has been training harder for this fight than any other in his career, won't let this one come down to the judges' decision.
Pacquiao has improved drastically since their last meeting in 2008.
Back then, Pacquiao was completely one-dimensional. He had limited movement and relied solely on his massive left hand.
Now, he is much more mobile in the ring and is perhaps the only true switch hitter in boxing. His "weak" right hand is just as strong as his dominant left, a fact that should be absolutely terrifying for Marquez.
Also, don't let all the pre-fight pleasantries fool you. Pacquiao has been angry at Marquez for several years now and is determined to embarrass him.
Marquez complained incessantly after their first two fights and even visited Pacquiao's native Philippines while wearing a t-shirt that said he got robbed.
Now Pacquiao isn't just motivated, he's pissed.
He's been on a bloodthirsty rampage since his second bout with Marquez. He knocked out four opponents in a row, then dominated his next three for 12 painful rounds.
Between Marquez's whining and the whole Floyd Mayweather Jr. situation, Pacquiao has had to deal with a lot of crap the last few years.
I'm sure he's got a lot of stress built up and I'm expecting him to release his anger all over Marquez's face.
Final Prediction: Pacquiao wins by sixth-round TKO
