Fantasy Football Week 10: Andy Dalton and More Sleepers to Pick Up Right Now
With Week 10 of the NFL season approaching, many may still be scrambling to get all the pieces in place on their fantasy team. Perhaps you lost Jamaal Charles to injury and you still haven't found a replacement, or you have Andre Johnson and you are just unsure when he will finally come back.
There are many more situations that may apply to you, but most importantly you are probably looking to grab whatever can help your team down the stretch. Now is the time to tweak those rosters, and start focusing on the playoffs. There are a few guys still flying under the radar, and they are players that have the potential to help any team.
You must pick up these players to help you in Week 10 and beyond.
Percentage owned is based on ESPN Fantasy Football.
QB Andy Dalton
1 of 5Andy Dalton has been a stud this season, and he is only owned in 24.5 percent of leagues! The guy has been stellar, and he has quieted any woes in the early-season Carson Palmer fallout.
Dalton ranks 16th amongst all quarterbacks this season, so if you are in a smaller league and don't need a starter, he is a solid guy to pick up just in case. If you happened to draft Matt Schaub or Kevin Kolb, you may be feeling unsure about your player at this point, and Dalton is a great option.
With the Cleveland Browns in Week 12 and the St. Louis Rams in Week 15, Dalton is a guy that is going to help your team down the playoff stretch.
WR Early Doucet
2 of 5While Larry Fitzgerald is the main man in the Arizona Cardinals' receiving corp, Early Doucet has been the favorite target of new quarterback Kevin Kolb. Doucet is more of an option if you are in desperate need of a wideout, but he could come through big down the line.
The Cardinals don't have too many tough opponents down the line, especially in the pass defense. Besides for two games against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11 and 14, the Cardinals' passing game could finally come through big.
Doucet is only owned in 18.5 percent of leagues, so he is definitely worth a hard look.
WR Torrey Smith
3 of 5Rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith is flying under the radar. While Smith will be looked at mostly due to his three-touchdown game in Week 3, he still has the potential to go off at any minute.
He is owned in 47.3 percent of leagues, so it is best to grab him before it is too late.
Smith will have a chance to increase his role with the team as the season goes on, especially if Lee Evans fails to return from injury. Joe Flacco may be hooking up with Smith more often now, especially with opponents like the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts remaining on the schedule.
WR Antonio Brown
4 of 5When great ones fall, there will always be young blood to come through and take over. That is the case with the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fall of Hines Ward and the rise of Antonio Brown.
In the last three weeks, Brown has had two game of 100-plus yards, but neither of those games came with a score. You just know it is coming though.
Brown is still getting implemented into this offense, and while be available in 51.1 percent of leagues, this is the time to grab him. Down the stretch, Brown may become quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's top target, especially on the deep pass.
WR Joshua Cribbs
5 of 5It has taken long enough, but Cleveland Browns WR Joshua Cribbs is finally looking to be a solid wide receiver. He has scored twice in the last two weeks, and it seems like he is finally looking to mold into that solid fantasy option that many looked for in years prior.
Cribbs is only claimed in 8.5 percent of leagues, so he should be there when you look.
Cribbs' schedule is favorable for Week 10 with the St. Louis Rams, and then he has a chance to go big against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11, but from there it would be best to go on with caution depending on how things go these next two weeks.
