Week 10 Fantasy Football Projections: Superstars in for Monster Games

Josh SchochNov 12, 2011

Our typical fantasy superstars have not been producing the numbers we've hoped for, but some of them are about to explode in Week 10.  If you've stuck with these guys they are must-starts this week, and they are going to get you some serious points.

RB Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans

Chris Johnson is coming off arguably his best game of the season. He did not score a touchdown, but he averaged over six yards per touch. This week he plays the worst defense against running backs: the Carolina Panthers.

While you can make the case that Johnson did not break out against the Indianapolis Colts, who have the second-worst run defense in terms of fantasy, the two defenses are not even close. The Panthers allow 2.9 more points per game than the Colts (a huge gap), making them a much worse team.

It looks like Johnson has finally hit his stride, and if he continues that way he will get in the end zone at least once this week, I'm thinking twice.

Projection: 26 points (Standard ESPN)

RB Arian Foster, Houston Texans

Arian Foster is finally healthy, and that makes him a superstar running back once more. This week he plays the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are 28th in the league against fantasy running backs.

The Bucs have allowed 29 points or more four times this season, not all of which have been to running backs as good as Foster.

While he may be sharing some carries with Ben Tate, Foster is still in for a huge day. Just remember that the last time Foster faced a defense in the bottom eight in the league he went for 40 points.

Projection: 31 points (Standard ESPN)

QB Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers leads the best offensive attack in the NFL, and he's in for yet another huge day.

Rodgers takes on the Minnesota Vikings, who rank near the bottom of the league against fantasy quarterbacks.

Rodgers and the Packers is going to be looking to light up their rivals, and there's no sign that he won't do so. He has some of the best receivers in the league and a great scheme...not to mention that he's also an incredible quarterback.

Rodgers has not scored fewer than 21 points in a game this season, with his highest being 45 points against the Denver Broncos, and he is going to have one of his best games of the season this week.

Projection: 38 points (Standard ESPN)
