College Football Rankings: Ranking All 120 FBS Teams Heading into Week 12

With 11 weeks of college football in the books, things got a whole lot more interesting this past week.

This week, Boise State was stunned by TCU at home as their kicking issues cost them once again. At Stanford, Andrew Luck and the Cardinal were dismantled by the Oregon Ducks.

When the dust settled, LSU, Oklahoma State and Houston were the only remaining unbeaten teams and once forgotten-about Oregon has climbed up the rankings and have people thinking about a rematch. 

Here is a look at the power rankings through 11 weeks of football. 

No. 120: Florida Atlantic

Record: 0-9

Next Game: at Troy

Quick Note: With the New Mexico win, Florida Atlantic inherits the worst spot in college football. 

No. 119: New Mexico

Record: 1-9

Next Game: at Wyoming

Quick Note: Stop the presses: New Mexico won and is out of the No. 120 spot. 

No. 118: Indiana

Record: 1-9

Next Game: at Michigan State

Quick Note: At this point, Indiana is just hoping to play the roll of spoiler. 

No. 117: Akron

Record: 1-9

Next Game: at Buffalo

Quick Note: This past week's loss was a combined effort as both the offense and defense struggled to get anything going. 

No. 116: UAB

Record: 2-8

Next Game: Southern Miss

Quick Note: The good news is that UAB won this past week. The bad news is the streak will stop at one with Southern Miss next up on the schedule. 

No. 115: Arizona

Record: 2-8

Next Game: at Arizona State

Quick Note: Things continue to get worse for Arizona as they lost to Colorado who, at the time, had not won in conference. 

No. 114: Tulane

Record: 2-9

Next Game: at Rice

Quick Note: Tulane started the year 2-1. Since then, they have lost eight straight game and get drummed by Houston this past week.

Quick Note: The Vandals have continued to struggle to find offense and this past week's loss was no different.

Quick Note: Colorado finally earned their first conference win as they took out Arizona this past week.

Quick Note: With the loss to UL Monroe this past week, the Blue Raiders have lost three straight and will struggle in their three remaining games.

Quick Note: UNLV earned the distinction of being the first team to lose to New Mexico this past week.

Next Game: Florida Atlantic

Quick Note: Troy's losing streak has now reached five games and the defense is just not allowing the team to stay in games.

Quick Note: Buffalo has lost the past four games, but they should have a decent chance this week as they take on Akron.

Quick Note: With Washington and Oregon left on the schedule, it looks like the Beavers are in for a 10 loss season.

No. 105: Memphis

Next Game: Marshall

Quick Note: Memphis finally put together a strong offensive game this past week and yet still fell short. Memphis is hoping that against Marshall both sides of the team shows up.

Quick Note: The first season for Randy Edsall continues to go poorly as the Terps have now lost six straight games. 

No. 103: Kansas

Quick Note: Now with eight straight losses, Kansas had a win within their grasp but watched it fall apart against Baylor. 

No. 102: Minnesota

Record: 2-8

Next Game: Northwestern

Quick Note: No upset this past week as Wisconsin took care of Minnesota at Minnesota. 

No. 101: UL Monroe

Record: 3-7

Next Game: FIU

Quick Note: The Warhawks picked up a big win this past week, but don't count on seeing it happen again this week against FIU. 

No. 100: Boston College

Record: 3-7

Next Game: at Notre Dame

Quick Note: Boston College picked up a surprising win over NC State this past week. Winning in South Bend would be a shocker. 

No. 99: San Jose State

Record: 3-7

Next Game: Navy

Quick Note: San Jose State went on the road to Utah State this past week and came up one point short. A game against Navy will not be any easier. 

No. 98: Fresno State

Record: 3-7

Next Game: at Hawaii

Quick Note: The season has hit rock bottom as Fresno State lost to New Mexico State and now head to Hawaii.  

No. 97: Colorado State

Record: 3-6

Next Game: at TCU

Quick Note: A 3-1 start to the year has quickly gone to waste as Colorado State is now 3-6 and playing at TCU. 

No. 96: Army

Record: 3-7

Next Game: at Temple

Quick Note: Their will be no bowl game this year for Army and a road game against Temple could give them their eighth loss. 

No. 95: Central Michigan

Record: 3-8

Next Game: Toledo

Quick Note: The pattern this year for Central Michigan has been to win a game and then lose three straight. That trend will likely continue in their final game against Toledo. 

No. 94: Rice

Record: 3-7

Next Game: Tulane

Quick Note: Rice was unable to get anything going on the road against Northwestern this past week. If they hope to beat Tulane, the offense must do better. 

No. 93: Duke

Record: 3-7

Next Game: Georgia Tech

Quick Note: At one point this year Duke was 3-2, but five straight losses later they are just looking to have the season be over. 

No. 92: Kent State

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Eastern Michigan

Quick Note: After three straight wins, the Golden Flashes have an outside chance of a bowl game this year. 

No. 91: East Carolina

Record: 4-6

Next Game: UCF

Quick Note: For the first time since early in the year, the Pirates defense stepped up but this time the offense fell short. 

No. 90: Marshall

Record: 4-6

Next Game: at Memphis

Quick Note: Marshall stays on the road this week and hopes things go better against Memphis than they did against Tulsa. 

No. 89: Kentucky

Record: 4-6

Next Game: at Georgia

Quick Note: With their loss to Vanderbilt, Kentucky making it to a bowl is a real long shot with them playing Georgia this week.

No. 88: New Mexico State

Record: 4-6

Next Game: at BYU

Quick Note: New Mexico State picked up a huge win this past week over Fresno State and will try to continue that momentum into their game against BYU. 

No. 87: Bowling Green

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Ohio

Quick Note: After a loss this past week, Bowling Green has now put themselves in a very difficult situation to become bowl eligible. 

No. 86: UCF

Record: 4-6

Next Game: at East Carolina

Quick Note: UCF pushed Southern Miss to the limit this past week but fell short. The same kind of effort will earn them a win over East Carolina this week. 

No. 85: Navy

Record: 4-6

Next Game: at San Jose State

Quick Note: After six straight losses, Navy has won two straight and play San Jose State and Army to wrap up the year. 

No. 84: Washington State

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Utah

Quick Note: Washington State picked up a huge win over Arizona State and if they beat Utah, the Apple Cup will give them a chance at a bowl appearance. 

No. 83: Utah State

Record: 4-5

Next Game: Idaho

Quick Note: With two straight wins, the Aggies have put themselves into position to become bowl eligible. 

No. 82: North Texas

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Western Kentucky

Quick Note: After beating Troy on the road, North Texas will take on Western Kentucky who was competitive with LSU in the first half. 

No. 81: Miami (Ohio)

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Western Michigan

Quick Note: Miami saw their two game win streak snapped by Temple this past week. If they can refocus, these final two games are very winnable for the Red Hawks. 

No. 80: UTEP

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Tulsa

Quick Note: UTEP's defense stepped up big and slowed down East Carolina this past week and has the Miners a game away from being bowl eligible. 

No. 79: Northwestern

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Minnesota

Quick Note: With three straight wins, Northwestern has games remaining against Minnesota and Michigan State and needs one to get into a bowl game. 

No. 78: Connecticut

Record: 4-5

Next Game: Louisville

Quick Note: Surprisingly enough, the Huskies are not out of this race for the conference title but will need to run the table and hope for some help along the way. 

No. 77: Tennessee

Record: 4-6

Next Game: Vanderbilt

Quick Note: After losing to Arkansas, Tennessee must win their final two games to become bowl eligible. 

No. 76: Western Kentucky

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at North Texas

Quick Note: With games remaining against North Texas and Troy, Western Kentucky is trying to find a way to get their sixth win. 

No. 75: Louisville

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at Connecticut

Quick Note: Despite their loss to Pitt and two total conference losses, the Cardinals are not out of the Big East race. 

No. 74: Pittsburgh

Next Game: at West Virginia

Quick Note: With both Pitt and West Virginia having two conference losses, the Backyard Brawl will be huge. 

No. 73: South Florida

Record: 5-4

Next Game: Miami

Quick Note: It's amazing to think that after a 4-0 start, South Florida is limping towards a bowl birth and are completely out of the Big East conference race. 

No. 72: Purdue

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Iowa

Quick Note: After getting blasted by Wisconsin, Purdue returned home and pulled off a shocking win in overtime over Ohio State. 

No. 71: Eastern Michigan

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Kent State

Quick Note: Who would have thought it? The Eastern Michigan Eagles have reached six wins and are bowl eligible. 

No. 70: Hawaii

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Fresno State

Quick Note: After winning two straight games, the Warriors have now lost two straight and have three games remaining. 

No. 69: Western Michigan

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at Miami (Ohio)

Quick Note: The Broncos have lost three of their last four games and now a bowl appearance is no longer a sure thing. 

No. 68: Vanderbilt

Record: 5-5 

Next Game: at Tennessee

Quick Note: After a huge win over Kentucky, Vanderbilt plays Tennessee and Wake Forest with a chance to go to a bowl game. 

No. 67: Air Force

Record: 5-5 

Next Game: UNLV

Quick Note: Air Force will have two chances to earn that final victory and become bowl eligible. 

No. 66: Texas Tech

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at Missouri

Quick Note: Texas Tech has now only won one out of their last five games, and picking up win number six will not be so easy against Missouri or Baylor. 

No. 65: Syracuse

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Cincinnati

Quick Note: Three games ago, Syracuse was sitting at 5-2 and appeared to be a bowl game lock. Since then, the Orange have lost three straight and with games against Cincinnati and Pitt remaining, a bowl appearance is in serious jeopardy.

Quick Note: Looks like the win streak will end at two with Oklahoma State up this week. 

No. 63: NC State

Quick Note: After shutting out rival North Carolina, NC State failed to show up against Boston College and had their bowl dreams put on hold. 

No. 62: Texas A&M

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Kansas

Quick Note: This season has gone wrong from start to finish and their loss to Kansas State in the fourth overtime is another example. 

No. 61: Mississippi State

Record: 5-5

Next Game: at Arkansas

Quick Note: Mississippi played tough but ultimately, their chance at a bowl game will come down to the game against Ole Miss. 

No. 60: Louisiana Tech

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Nevada

Quick Note: The Bulldogs have now ripped off five straight wins and stay on the road to take on Nevada. 

No. 59: UCLA

Record: 5-5

Next Game: Colorado

Quick Note: After getting into the driver's seat in the Pac-12 south, UCLA lost but were bailed out by an Arizona State loss. 

No. 58: Temple

Record: 6-4

Next Game: Army

Quick Note: After three attempts, the Owls finally clinched their sixth victory and now finish up the season against Army and Kent State. 

No. 57: Ball State

Record: 6-4

Next Game: at Northern Illinois

Quick Note: While the road win over Eastern Michigan two weeks ago was good, Ball State will have their hands full against the Huskies. 

No. 56: Utah

Record: 6-4

Next Game: Washington State

Quick Note: Utah has gotten their legs under them in the Pac-12 and have won three straight and appear to be getting stronger. 

No. 55: North Carolina

Quick Note: After getting a bye week, North Carolina has to travel to take on Virginia Tech.

Quick Note: After having an upset over Clemson slip through their fingers, Wake Forest is now 5-5 with three straight losses.

Quick Note: After climbing to 6-2, the Huskies have lost their past two tests against Oregon and USC and are not ready to climb towards the top of the conference. 

No. 52: FIU

Quick Note: After losing to Western Kentucky, FIU rebounded with a win this past week and should make it two straight against UL Monroe. 

No. 51: San Diego State

Quick Note: The good news is the Aztecs won this past week, the bad news is Boise State lost and will look to take out their frustrations on San Diego State.

Quick Note: Missouri picked up a huge home win over Texas and will now take on Texas Tech, who has fallen apart over the past few weeks.

Quick Note: SMU has a chance to shock a lot of people as they head to undefeated Houston, site of this week's College Gameday.

Quick Note: Miami fell short to Florida State this past week and has to remain on the road to take on South Florida.

Quick Note: With a game against Furman this week, the Gators will become bowl eligible and then take on Florida State.

Quick Note: In a big game, UL Lafayette came up short against Arkansas State and now heads to struggling Arizona.

Quick Note: While the defense did not play great against Michigan, the offense let down the Illini and now Wisconsin heads to town.

Quick Note: While this past weeks win was nice, they have the unfortunate task of taking on Stanford after their loss to Oregon.

Quick Note: With this past week's victory, Toledo has reached six wins but should not stop there as they will likely be favored in their final two games. 

No. 42: Ohio State

Quick Note: After looking like they had regained their form, Ohio State lost in overtime and now drop to 6-4.

Quick Note: Wyoming picked up a big win over Air Force and should have their way with New Mexico this week.

Quick Note: After a rough opening schedule, Nevada has tuned things around and are now winners of five straight games.

Next Game: at Bowling Green

Quick Note: Four straight wins have propelled Ohio to a 7-3 mark but they need to make sure they do not overlook this road date against Bowling Green. 

No. 38: Arkansas State

Record: 8-2

Next Game: at Middle Tennessee

Quick Note: The Red Wolves are rolling on a seven game winning streak and eight is right around the corner against Middle Tennessee. 

No. 37: Northern Illinois

Record: 7-3

Next Game: Ball State

Quick Note: Five straight wins have the Huskies in a great position as they should be able to finish the year with nine wins and a solid bowl game. 

No. 36: Iowa

Quick Note: After a big home win over Michigan, Iowa could not sweep the state of Michigan as the Spartans earned a huge road victory.

Quick Note: After seeing UCLA lose, Arizona State knew they controlled their own destiny and still failed to beat Washington State.

Quick Note: Auburn was beaten up by Georgia this past week so look for the Tigers to take their frustrations out on Samford.

Quick Note: After a 1-3 start, Tulsa has rattled off six straight wins and are playing great football.

Quick Note: Rutgers returns to conference play this week and a win over Cincinnati would be huge for their conference title hopes.

Quick Note: Virginia won their third straight game but with Florida State and Virginia Tech left on the schedule, they will be tested.

Quick Note: Texas looked really bad on offense and needs to snap out of it because Kansas State can put up a lot of points. 

No. 28: Baylor

Record: 6-3

Next Game: Oklahoma

Quick Note: Baylor avoided a huge upset by coming back and beating Kansas. They will need a much better game from both units if they hope to challenge Oklahoma. 

No. 27: Cincinnati

Quick Note: Despite their loss to West Virginia, Cincinnati still controls their own destiny and if they win out, they will be Big East champions.

Quick Note: After a win over Maryland, Notre Dame should take care of Boston College before taking on Stanford.

Quick Note: After a 6-0 start, the Yellow Jackets have started to fall apart and their recent home loss was another step in that direction.

Quick Note: After a big win over Cincinnati, the Mountaineers prepare for the Backyard Brawl.

Quick Note: After a poor start to the season, Florida State has won five straight and takes on Virginia to make it six.

Quick Note: After ten games, we will get to see how good Michigan truly is as they face Nebraska and Ohio State.

Quick Note: While Penn State does control their own destiny, they finish the season against Ohio State and Wisconsin. 

No. 20: Kansas State

Quick Note: Kansas State did a great job outlasting Texas A&M in four overtimes and now must head to Texas for another big game.

Quick Note: Southern Miss escaped their game this past week against UCF but things get a bit easier as they take on UAB this week.

Quick Note: USC did a great job picking apart Washington but now head to Oregon, a place they have not won at since 2005.

Quick Note: TCU came to the blue turf and shocked everyone by beating Boise State and ending their home win streak. 

No. 16: Nebraska

Quick Note: In a game that was largely unpredictable heading in, Nebraska kept their divisional hopes alive.

Quick Note: Continuing to be quiet, the Bulldogs have now won eight straight and still do not appear to be getting many people's attention.

Quick Note: Boise State is officially out of the BCS title race and can again blame the kicking game.

Quick Note: After dropping two conference games, Wisconsin has rebounded with two wins and now control their own destiny in the Big 10.

Quick Note: It may not have been pretty, but the Gamecocks took down Florida and look for win number nine this week.

Quick Note: With a big road win over Iowa, Michigan State is a huge favorite to win their division with only Indiana and Northwestern left on the schedule.

Next Game: North Carolina

Quick Note: With their road win over Georgia Tech, the Hokies need to win one out of their last two games to wrap up their division and punch their ticket to the ACC title game. 

No. 9: Houston

Quick Note: Houston continues to put up huge numbers and did so again this past week with a 73-17 win over Tulane. With two games remaining, it will be interesting to see if the Cougars can keep this pace up. 

No. 8: Stanford

Quick Note: With one game, Andrew Luck may have lost the Heisman and the Cardinal have been knocked out of the title race.

Quick Note: With all the chaos in college football right now, imagine if Arkansas beats LSU in two weeks.

Next Game: NC State

Quick Note: After seeing their undefeated season end two weeks ago, Clemson returned to their winning ways and should have no issue with NC State.

Quick Note: After having a week off, the Sooners return to play and need to make sure they don't look past Baylor with their game against the Cowboys coming up.

Next Game: Georgia Southern

Quick Note: After losing to LSU, Alabama rebounded with a big win this week and who knows what Stanford and Boise State's losses will do for the Tide.

Quick Note: With all the focus on Stanford, Oregon went on the road and delivered a beating to Stanford and may find themselves back in title contention.

Quick Note: After ripping Texas Tech, it appears that the Cowboys will roll into their final game but must take care of Iowa State before meeting up with Oklahoma.
