UFC on FOX 1 Predictions: How Darren Uyenoyama Will Beat Norifumi Yamamoto
What can anyone really say about Darren "BC" Uyenoyama?
He's a new kid on the UFC block, the "BC" stands for Bone Crusher and his training regiment focuses mostly on standup, with much of the focus being on boxing and Muay Thai, as well as his wrestling and his jiu-jitsu.
Norifumi Yamamoto, his UFC on Fox 1 opponent, is noted for his own wrestling base, as well as his boxing and Muay Thai, but two problems that often get associated with Yamamoto are his overactive-aggressive offensive approach to fights and his difficulty with fighting from off his back.

Demetrious Johnson more or less opened the door for a passive-aggressive offensive approach from Yamamoto, although that approach could have also been due to first-time Octagon jitters.
That said, there are two ways Yamamoto will lose to Uyenoyama, if he does lose, and that first way is merely getting outpointed by whatever striking Uyenoyama brings out come fight time.
The second way is the way I see Uyenoyama doing his dirt, which is by taking Yamamoto down, showing effective ground-and-pound inside a rather loose Yamamoto guard, and passing the guard of Yamamoto to maintain numerous dominant positions.
If Yamamoto gives up his back in the slightest, expect us to learn about Uyenoyama's jiu-jitsu in a fashion slightly similar to how we learned about John Maguire's jiu-jitsu last week at UFC 138, and if Uyenoyama tires Yamamoto out, don't rule out the possibility of Uyenoyama's debut ending in a victory by rear naked choke or even by a potential Twister.
