Panthers-Giants: NFC Showdown Preview

Can you believe it? The Panthers have one of the greatest opportunities to clinch the No. 1 spot in the NFC with a victory this Sunday against the struggling New York Giants. Here it is, late December, and the Panthers are doing what they need to and that is win.

Sunday's win against the Broncos was awesome, and the game six day before against the Buccaneers was even more perfect. Bank of America Stadium for the last two games should had showed the NFL that Charlotte, yet alone the Carolina's, are diehard about the Panthers, Monday was awesome seeing everyone decked out in all black and on their feet from kick-off til the end of the game.

This should explain why I am hoping, praying and believing that we beat the Giants, we are 8-0 for the regular season in Bank of America and if we get that home-field advantage throughout the playoff, I'm making reservations for Tampa Bay, FL.

I'm not trying to sound like a homer but the way things are going for the Panthers anything is possible. The Giants are in a perfect position with their head hanging low this game will be the biggest game of the year.

The Giants have a decent offense but after the last two performances and the whole Plaxico situation the Giants need him more than they think. For them to lose him is like us losing number 89 Steve Smith not theirs.

Last Sunday, the Cowboys shut them down the only thing I can give the Giants credit for is getting the safety but, other than that this team has been exposed for the worst, maybe they got a little to ahead of their selves.
