Barcelona Consider £35 Million Bid for Tottenham's Gareth Bale: Reports
A Daily Mail report this morning suggests Barcelona are contemplating a £35 million bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.
Bale's name has barely left the transfer gossip columns since his impressive performances for Spurs in the Champions League last season, but the endless speculation could finally become a reality next summer.
Barca reportedly sent their chief scout to watch Bale play his part in Tottenham's 3-1 win against Fulham on Sunday, where the Welsh international put in another convincing performance. If Barca needed further proof of the 22-year-old's talent, they were served it emphatically.

Bale is reportedly seen as an attacking left-back by Barca coach Pep Guardiola, who may even be planning to use cash from the sale of David Villa to fund the move. Villa has allegedly had a falling out with Lionel Messi, and could be looking for an exit from Camp Nou.
If Villa does leave, Liverpool are among the clubs said to be interested. This report claims they've already made an initial enquiry.
