WWE News: New WWE Logo to Debut Soon? (Screenshot Included)
On the last WWE Superstars broadcast—which airs in international markets before being streamed on WWE.com—a commercial ran hyping the WWE Network.
The only difference from the previous promotional spots is that this one in particular ended highlighting a new WWE logo (click to see screenshot) never seen before.
It is comprised of a playful, metallic font and, instead of the blunt scratch logo currently used, it is a neater, more streamlined version.

In some ways, it is a "cartoonized" rendition of the logo that spawned an Attitude Era, which lost its "F" along the way.
In fact, it is a perfect representative of the PG, family-friendly era that has dominated airwaves in the last few years.
Marketing-wise, it doesn't veer too much from the logo that has been a part of the WWE culture for the last 13-14 years. Thus, it would still be easily recognizable and identifiable with the WWE brand.
Of course, this isn't the first time a new WWE logo has been rumored to supersede the long-standing one. Last year, this image was supposedly leaked, leading many to believe it was legitimate; however, it was later proven to be just a fan creation.
Certainly, there's a chance the logo that was flashed during the latest Superstars will be exclusive to the WWE Network that is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2012.
That being said, it would behoove the WWE to standardize its logo across all of its platforms. Not only is it a prudent decision from a marketing standpoint, but a change has been long overdue.
